Hua Ching Ni is a Chinese-American author, teacher, and acupuncturist who writes about politics and social sciences. Her books include The Politics of Being Chinese in America and The Social Science of Acupuncture. In her work, she explores the intersections of race, ethnicity, and culture in the United States. Born in China, Hua Ching Ni immigrated to the United States as a young woman. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of California, Berkeley and her doctorate from the University of Southern California. She has taught at both the college and secondary level, and currently practices acupuncture in Los Angeles.
