I really like these tips for several reasons. First of all their length is perfect for me. I throw a fairly long dart already and a long tip would add too much length visually and it might throw me off. With a longer tip you are going to have a lot more bending and bouncing out than you do with this length. I have noticed that these tips don't break off in the board as often as the short tips without holes. These just stay pretty rigid until they decide to bend hard, when they do bend pretty badly I change them out.
