Will this give comfort and pressure relief for hip bones. Lost weight and hurts to sit

It should. It helps my hip pain, sciatica, & especially the sit bones where the holes are cut out on the cushion. I weigh 165 pounds. I put the cushion on my car seat because sitting causes me pain. I like the built in handle strap & breathable material for hot weather. I have tried a couple of different brands & this one is the best that I have ever found - much more comfortable & wish I would have had this before wasting money on other kinds.

how long before it is flat and no longer usefull

I have had mine for two years and it as firm as it was the day I got it. It helps me a lot.

The coccyx cut out seems small. Would this be good for tailbone pain?

I am 5' 4" barely 100# my bony butt gets to hurting after sitting reading for even just a short time. Will This cushion with the cutouts help?

It helps me a great deal. Especially when I am driving. When sitting for any length of time, my sit bones hurt. This cushion helps to take the pressure of the sit bones. If you don't want to spend the money and hassle with returning this item should it not work for you, purchase a small piece of foam 2 - 3 inches thick and use a serrated knife to cut out 2 holes. If that helps, then consider buying this cushion. It is well worth the money. It is very well made (good quality memory foam and workmanship). I actually plan to purchase a second one to keep in my car so I don't have to keep carrying it back and forth.
