Just feels like it shouldn't be as expensive it is - I first started using trackir with the hat clip, worked great for the time but as a started wearing glasses the camera was tracking my glasses. As it was tracking my glasses it started to mess with the tracking while trying to look around so i decided to buy this. Works amazingly! Worked right out of the box, could use my previous settings from the hat clip and the tracking itself is much smoother and has a far better range of motion. If you dont have trackir yet definitely buy the pro bundle. Only complaints i have is the material definitely feels flimsy and cheap but i just keep it clipped on my headphones and dont mess with it. It also feels like it should be alot cheaper but its the only competitor right now so cant complain too much. Other than that, the product works great! It also does provide a larger range of movement. **Q: Do you need a camera to use this? Or do you just strap it to your headset and you're good to go?** A: You need the ir camera from the manufacturer to use this item. It only fits on certain headsets so check with them before purchase. **Q: I have logitech g35 headset which does not have a thin band. Is there still a way to mount this clip?** A: Hi , I have the pro clip and my head set it 1 3/4 inches wide but when I extend the ear portion down the inner extension is 1 1/4 maybe a millimeter less if your extension when exposed is no bigger than that then it should fit as mine does Ill post pics for you **Q: What is the function of this piece of equipment???** A: It provides three powered IR light sources for the TrackIR receiver. TrackIR also comes with a three point reflector but sometimes it has a hard time picking up the reflections, especially if you are back lit. If you are unfamiliar with TrackIR, it is a device that allows head movements to control the viewpoint in many different computer simulations. Now that I have one, I can't imagine flying a simulator without it.
