What I love about it is that it makes reaching tall heights easy. I've found that if a step stool is too far away or too complicated to set up or too large and cumbersome, I'll just do my best to reach without a stool. But this is so quick and easy to set up, and so thin when collapsed, that it can be stored very close to where I need it. It feels about as close to an extension of my own body as a stool could be. I'm 190lbs, and it feels very sturdy, and the platform is large enough that I'm not uneasy standing 16" off the ground.
