Either hard wired via a 1.5mm² 3 core and earth cable or by using 2 of the wireless smart modules. Hope this helps **Q: Hi, this product has only 1 blue connection but i have 2 blue wires to connect. my old ei156 had 2 blue connections. what to do with 2nd blue wire?** A: The EI3016 works on a brown(live) , blue(neutral) , & black (interconnect) .The black being used if you have more than one smoke alarm and you are linking them together? On the EI156 it was brown(live), blue(neutral) & white(interconnect). My only thought is if you have more than 1 smoke alarm and have a linked system, the second blue would be the neutral link to the next alarm, unless whoever has wired your smokes has used one of the blue's for a live connection which really shouldn't be done? **Q: My new detector beeps every 2 minutes. is it faulty?** A: Yes it is faulty. Contact Aico and if it’s within warranty they will replace it FOC. **Q: Will this replace the older ei151tl are the connections the same thanks** A: I don't know what connections are on the old model, but having recently installed this model, it was a simple task of just hard wiring the Live, Neutal and Earth. Will buy again. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I’ve installed hundreds of these, for domestic use I wouldn’t use anything else *by S***D on 8 February 2024* I’ve installed hundreds of these, for domestic use I wouldn’t use any other brand. These are way better than the traditional 9v battery back up models. Sure they cost a little more but in my experience the ones with the 9v batteries always decide to start beeping to tell you to change the battery around 3am when the temperature is lowest! These are self rechargeable so no rude awakening! Besides that they are easy to install, reliable and part of a wider range that all interlink together. Another reason I choose these products is that when it’s time to replace (manufacture states 10 years) you know you will be able to get a compatible aico that will just clip onto the existing plate. I replace lots of other types of alarms where the design has either changed or they are no longer made. Also Aico technical support is spot on. Quick and knowledgeable. Not that most of you will need to contact them but the times I have had to they’ve always been great. Amazon was a decent price, on par with good wholesalers, and considerably better than the likes of screwfix etc. In my opinion they are one of the better looking types of fire alarm as well.
