The product certainly did smell like animal urine, and while I'm no expert, I trust the company when they say it was obtained from real foxes (I shudder to think of the protocol used for that). When I got home I put it on the trees near some of the spots the skunks were getting into my yard. I put some on logs and put the logs near the entrance and the exit of the den. Later i let the dogs out to relieve themselves and they started drooling and smelling the air so I knew this stuff was strong. Well that next night, after I covered the entrances and exit with dirt, I noticed no disturbances so the pests were gone. They have been gone since.
