Ukrainian Kiev Rye Bread 16oz (2 pack)

I am quoting my review for the same company's Russian Rye because they both are so similar in being great:Ah the joy of eating real bread, once again! I grew up in Europe and spent time on the East Coast, where decent bread is either a given, or available. Here in Albuquerque there is no decent bread anywhere, ever. To be able to get this tasty, dense rye, that does not fall apart under the weight of a few slices of meat, that can be buttered without shredding, that tastes strong and assertive, like rye should, makes my breakfasts and lunches a delight I look forward to. Thank you :)That said, they taste different, the Russian is a hair sweater and chewier, the Ukrainian one has a little more sour and is a tad lighter. I will alternate them, because both are really tasty and are true breads.

AGAIN trying to find bread of my youth, but since I will be 84 this Sunday, impossible. Not only have ingredients changed but so have I. I found this bread a bit stale? About same as that in super market. I should add that i am Ukrainian-American, grandparents came from Ukraine in 1905. It was then part of Austro-Hungarian Empire.

Bread good, but took ten days to arrive - somewhat stale.

This is a dark brown bread. I really like it.

Doesn't have density of russian rye bread. Disappointed.

Best Rye Bread I have had in years. Brings back memories of the breads my grandmother used to get at the Bakery. Will be ordering again.

Delicious!!! Just like bread I used to eat at my Grandparents' house in southern Russia. Will definitely order again.

good bread needs the expiration date to be in full view.
