What is the experience of actually users?** A: The upper gulf coast has been super soggy this year which has caused hoof problems for my horses. My farrier used B Gone on the last visit and told me to buy some to treat the affected hooves which I did every two weeks. I washed the mud out with a nozzle and let the feet dry before applying the B Gone. It was a little difficult to apply the first time because the product was cold so I stored it in the house and it flowed much easier the next time. I used latex gloves and forced B Gone into all the affected areas, then let it dry before turning the horses back out. When my farrier came back 6 weeks later, he commented that there was a remarkable improvement in all the feet - and this was before he picked up the first foot! His trimming and shoeing actions confirmed his initial observation. I used about half a tube per horse per application, but someone in a drier area might get by with less. This is the best white line product that I have used in my 30 years of horsemanship. I plan to keep several tubes on hand. **Q: Can this be used under shoes?** A: sure...why wouldnt you be able to put it on then nail the shoe..or warm it up and drip it under a mounted shoe **Q: Does this soak into the white line, or does it harden up and act as a barrier of sorts, or both?** A: No, it does not harden up. You just apply the product in the area of white line. My mini had some big separation so I would just fill the area. **Q: Will it damage horses frog ?** A: We've gotten it on my mare's frog and not seen any damage. My husband is a farrier and we keep this on hand at all times. He says it's one of the best things for white line there is. ## Customer Reviews ### ā­ā­ā­ā­ā­ Cured my donk's white line disease *by N***L on August 30, 2023* My mini donkey came down with white line disease in 2 hooves. My farrier recommended a treatment that required the donkey to wear boots with medication in it. The donkey wouldn't allow me to put the boots on for the medicine. I found this treatment & it worked well and was so much easier to use . It comes in a tube which you have to knead to mix the medication. The medication is a very thick blue coarse sandlike mixture that is somewhat difficult to squeeze out of the tube. There are multiple treatments in each tube. My only recommendation to the manufacturers of this product is to change the packaging to facilitate ease of application. This could be done by making the spout of the tube wider or putting the medicine in a container with a lid and supplying a tongue depressor type implement so the user could apply that way. But all in all, I am pleased with this product as it did what it was supposed to do, was reasonable in price, and much easier to use than trying to soak hooves. ### ā­ā­ā­ā­ā­ BEST stuff ever *by S***E on December 12, 2024* We use this religiously at trim time. Talk about a magic elixir that truly helps to fix whiteline issues! ### ā­ā­ā­ā­ā­ Took care of white line disease in 6 weeks *by A***D on January 13, 2021* Farrier informed me that my horse had white line disease. I researched and bought this product. I attached before and after photos. Before is nov 26 and after is Jan 12. In between these two times, I would stick his hoofs in a disinfected wash while I wait for the product to come in. Then the first week or so I would wash the hoof then apply the paste. After that first week or so I skipped the washing and just cleaned with wire brush. I applied twice a week. Around week 4, it rained on and off. He is pasture board and stood in mud. I still applied and was amazed to see the blue tint still on the hoof days later. After the trim on Jan 12, you can still see the blue tint. Like it was absorbed high in the hoof crack. It was at least 10 days since I applied my last round before the trim. I have about a little less than a quarter of the tube left after all this time. I did see that some had troubles getting the paste out of the tube. Iā€™m in central TX so the warmer weather might have played a part... but it was still middle of winter. I had the problem of it oozing out of the tube when I was done with it. Not a lot of oozing but did rush to put the lid back on. Farrier told me I did an amazing job getting on top of this and asked for the product name.
