SUDOTACK ST-800 Podcast Microphone Kit, 192kHz/24bit USB Condenser PC Mic

I've been using the SUDOTACK USB Streaming Podcast PC Microphone for the past 3 weeks, and I must say, I am absolutely thrilled with its performance! As an avid podcaster, I'm always on the lookout for affordable yet high-quality microphones, and this one has exceeded my expectations. First off, the sound quality is truly excellent. I've been able to record my podcasts with 192kHz/24Bit sample rate, resulting in crystal clear audio that leaves my listeners impressed. The wide frequency response (30 Hz to 16kHz) means that my voice is captured with great fidelity, and the high-resolution audio is a real treat for the ears. The cardioid pickup pattern is a game-changer. It focuses on capturing sound sources directly in front of the microphone, significantly reducing any unwanted background noise. Good buy..Does what ita suppossed to..Son loves it.

I ordered this for my nephew and this was such a good buy for what he wanted. We selected this set because it was highly recommended here on Amazon and on Youtube tech channels. This set did not disappoint and is a useful source for professional and beginner/intermediate level use for podcast or streaming. For the price point, you are getting descent sound quality. It doesn't crack or make popping/crackling noise if adjusted correctly. The recordings/sound have little to no static and does a good just cancelling low-frequency noises when you're in a fairly insolated/quiet room. You may still run into some sound quality issues in a loud noisy room, this isn't perfect (although no mic 100% cancels out all noises). This is a good starter to intermediate level set and comes with everything you need to get started. I have other audio sources that are 10x's this price but I would still recommend this for someone starting out because the audio/sound is still good. The equipment is easy to assemble, stays firming on your desk, and hasn't fallen off or given us any adjusting issues. Great audio source for newbies, I hope this helps :)

I purchased this gear to start a podcast on a very niche topic I know entirely too much about because my friends are sick of hearing me talk about it. The functionality is everything I expected. The sound quality is excellent for a USB mic and fulfilled all expectations. It lacks flashing RGB and has a nice, long, swing arm so I can keep it out of my field of vision and not constantly be reminded of it's existence. I did not start the podcast after all, but hey maybe some day.

In this case, for the price, I give the Sudotack mic a 5 star rating. I don't think you will find a usb plug and play microphone on the market that has as good of a quality sound than this. Sure there are other studio mic sets out there that might sound a bit better, but you will be paying a high price for those. So again, for this price, I would definitely recommend this microphone. I ordered this Mic Kit in Oct 2019, but I didn't start using it until March 24, 2020, because I have a good Condensor Mic and I just wanted to use it as a backup if something happened to my other Condensor Mic. Well, I decided to give it a shot and I was TOTALLY surprised by the QUALITY I got for my money. It's been EXCELLENT for the recordings I've made, so far... The Mic, Mic Cover, Cord, Scissor Boom Arm Mic Stand, Shock Mount, and Pop Filter are solid... the Plug-and-Play set up is GREAT TOO! What really impressed me is that you get an entire Set for a VERY Affordable Price! I could have bought 2 kits (with some change left over) for what I paid for my other Condensor Mic on Sale! I'm an Author/Publisher and Educator, and I also do AudioBooks, Narrations, and I have to say this Mic Set is Great for anyone looking to get started with Podcasts, Audiobooks, and other Voicework. I haven't tried recording my Trumpet, Drums, Percussion Instruments, or my Singing Voice yet so I don't know for a fact how it will hold up, with them, but I'm sure it will do just fine. I'll let you know if it still makes me smile after I've used it for more than a few recordings, but I'm still ordering another Mic Set, as soon as I finish this Review because YOU CAN'T BEAT the Price for the Quality you get! Totally Satisfied for now :-)

Now, before I bought it I didn't know it was hyper sensitive So it can literally pick up things from the other room which wouldn't be a bad thing but I live with 6 people regardless, unless you put it really close to your face, then you sound a bit distant and unclear. (I learned that a little later) And yes some adjustments of course in OBS is needed. I probably still have to adjust more of it It's not bad at all, it's used for mostly singing cause they put the mic up to their mouth and that's what it's used for originally. YOU CAN use it for podcasts and gaming. Is it the greatest? No of course not, but it does what it needs to for your video. It doesn't sound grainy as long as you fix it and or well if you know audio and know how to fix it up I do suggest using the pop filter to filter out unwanted noise cause goodness knows I'd probably catch everything even a drop of a penny if I didn't have the filters on it So if you don't mind a mic up close to your face....I-I personally do, but I deal with it anyway, then its a decent buy. Not the greatest but if you're a beginner it's acceptable. And for me I'm a beginner myself. So, it's a good temp buy until way later to where maybe you can afford something even better.

sounds like an expensive mic, plug and play so it’s easy to setup, the only issues are the joints and the vice it uses to hold onto your desk, a bit flimsy and don’t hold for long periods. other than that it’s an incredible beginner mic! definitely pick it up for quality on a budget
