I think these are good. I also think you can do a little better based on what I've seen. I don't have a recommendation. These will do.

I like them for light automotive use. Works very well as an all in one.
I try to buy everything Made in USA. For the price you cannot beat them. Some people say the cutter is no good for large with. I agree with the statement but remember these are "wire" cutters not "cable" cutters. I like the cutter being in front. I've had better shearing tools but at a much higher price. Come on... it's $20!! I use them in my travel mechanic bag so I don't cry if I lose them. Great for Christmas gift!

Channelock Quality and good design
Channellock have been making tools for decades, and the new ones are just as well made as the older ones. They may cost a bit more, but they'll last generations. I still have some of my father's Channelocks, and they work just as well as the day he bought them. These strippers are well designed, and also have a crimper which makes them even handier. Big enough handles to provide good leverage and comfortable grip without being unnecessarily large. One complaint: I wish they went up to at least an 8 AWG, 6 would be even better.

These are a great pair of wire strippers/crimpers
These are a great pair of wire strippers/crimpers. The fit of the two halves is perfect. i have no problems cutting or stripping wires with the indicated sizes or sometimes even out of that range. I particularly like the grips, they have a little give to them which makes using them over the course of the day more comfortable than comparable pairs I have used in the past.

Crimpers don't crimp
The wire stripper part of the tool works great....BUT the crimpers don't crimp....It is not a matter of applying more pressure, even when fully closed there is a space between the two sides of the crimper so wires are not secured in the connectors...Useless....tried on the job and returned after first day...I'm going with Klein.
