The bag is not waterproof like a plastic bag would be, but I always wring out my wet swimming trunks and then put them inside my damp towel in the bag and it's never leaked out. It would also be fine if caught in the rain but sufficient soaking would seep through eventually. Finally, I was hesitant because it said the bag would ship from the US. But it only took a week or so to arrive and was delivered to me via Yodel courier who stuffed the package through my letterbox haha! No damage though.
