Easy to use. The bolt I comes with did not fit, but it turned out that I didn’t need it. The tool stays in place as you turn to mount the belt - used a socket wrench to turn. Look for YouTube videos on how to do it.

If you are installing serpentine belts on later model GM vehicles, this is a must have. For the price it can save you a lot of frustration using screwdrivers and zip ties. One of the least expensive tools I own and saves me a good amount of time and trouble.

Used on a 2012 ford focus s. It works just as marketed in youtube videos, perfect, within 5 minutes of figuring out the configuration and positioning. It will take some elbow grease, and you will have to brace and stabilize the belt on the opposite end to prevent belt damage. Also I didn't need to use the bolt to clamp down the installation tool, the pressure and tension from the belt secured the tool in place. If this tool can be used for other cars this is a long term investment and great value for the cost.

The tool is good quality. However, the flange on the a/c compressor and the crank pulley are too wide to use the bolt on the tool. This allows the tool to flex and be pulled off while rotating the crankshaft. It is useless to me. Also, my Grandson's car is a Ford Focus that is a very common. Had to return it with no issues from Amazon.

Had to install a "V" belt with hardly any adjustment. Put the tool onto the last pulley, pushed the side of the belt up onto the tool, slowly rotated the engine with a ratchet wrench and on it went! No pinched or injured hands or fingers! Highly recommended!

Couldn't figure out how to use it, but as I kept trying don't think it fits the vehicle I bought it for; 2016 Mazda CX-5 as it stated.

This little thing that actually really surprised me when I first got it I honestly thought how's this going to even help me and I honestly kept thinking this thing is going to be useless So it turns out it's actually very easy to use and it literally made putting on the Belt back on to the pulleys incredibly easy the tool pretty much does it all for you all you have to do is set it in position and crank the pulley so it can turn I personally think this is very well worth the money especially because of all the frustration it will save you

Contrary to GATE's product catalog, this does not fit a 2004 Mazda 3 2.3L crankshaft pulley. The product was stamped exactly as shown, so I don't believe this was a mispackaged item. Not to worry though, save yourself the money and use a long zip tie. (or 2 shorter zip ties). Step 1: If you have already installed the main serpentine belt, go ahead and pop it loose so the belt hangs free of the crankshaft pulley (That way when you spin the A/C belt around the zip tie won't interfere and hit the main serpentine belt). Step 2: Now begin to start the A/C and use the zip tie by fishing through crank pulley then over the belt. cinch down and trim tag end so they don't interfere. Now simply use your 21mm socket and rotate the crank clockwise and bingo, you saved $10 on a worthless tool that won't fit your 2004 Mazda 3 anyway. Don't forget to slide the main serpentine belt back on.

This little tool worked flawlessy to assist putting on my A/C compressor belt. Took the bolt out (not required in my case). Set the belt in place ... pressed this little tool tight up between the belt and the clutch pully and with a socket I slowly turned the pulley until the belt worked its way on and the little tool dropped out the other side.

Worked putting the belt on

If it weren't already obvious this tool is designed for a stretch belt removal and installation. Judging from the reviews on here there seems to be some confusion about the usage and configuration of the tool plus the application especially the Mazda's as i see MANY reviews about the tool that it will and will work or not. My intended purchase was for a 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 6.2L as i needed to do an oil pump on it and needed to remove the A/C belt which is a stretch belt. Trying to remove and install with a pry makes it incredibly difficult but can be done. On a second attempt i purchased this tool to remove and install the belt and tool worked alright with somewhat awkward assembly. Removal is easy but installation was challenging as it is difficult to step the tool up correctly for it to slide on. It does work but has it's challenges. The bolt is what confused me at the beginning because i did not know what it was for and came in a small bag without any instructions or directions. After a little research i did find out what the bolt was for and is basically for alignment in the pulley and doesn't really assist the installation of the belt. I have used it on a few different designs and all have worked out semi-okay. The tool does seem to be decent quality and work in certain applications and would recommend the tool to anyone needing a stretch belt tool. It sucks that a tool like this is needed at all. Edit: This is an update as i wanted the opportunity to attempt the removal and install of a stretch belt on a Mazda 2.0L and 2.3L. The removal procedure i never even attempted as i just cut the belt, it's garbage and why try to save it. The install and both applications worked without an serious problems as i did not have an real issue. The tool did the job installing the belt on both engines. The only thing you need to know it what pulley to properly put it on as if it's not on the right pulley it will not work. The reviews that say that isn't doesn't work are either using the tool incorrectly, wrong pulley, wrong belt, or something else because it worked for myself. I just wanted to clear that up. Otherwise it;s an okay tool.
