I use them for homemade baby food, yogurt, I get really creative sometimes. Anyhow my twins have been using them since they were 14 months old. Sometimes I do need to help them when they are being lazy, or a chunk of fruit in the yogurt. My older boys 6 and 8 also like them for a quick snack while we are on the road. My biggest problem has been gauging how much to put in them, so a little comes out when closing them. I use a canning funnel to help fill but it is not needed. The other helpful hint I would like to give is to write on them that they are not trash, I have had "helpful" friends toss them for me. I have used some of them way more times then the review says you can.
