Shure KSM9/CG Charcoal Grey

Had this mic for 2 years and take it to open mics. Just need the phantom power and good to go. Get loads of complements on how clear it is. Love this mic. I baby it but it has held up well to a couple of bars a week. I have the super cardioid version and use that selection. I have a Warm Audio tube pre at home and this mic really sings through that. Highest recommendation.

I bought this for my girlfriend who is a professional musician. Prior to using this microphone she used several lower level including a Shure SM58. As she performs in various venues using various sounds systems provided by the property there are ever-changing conditions so having a good quality microphone that isolates her voice is very important. She loves it and audience members note a significant improvement in clarity of her voice. She also reports that the microphone is more relaxing for her to use when singing very high notes and also lower keys which in the past have been difficult for her to reproduce through other microphones.

I think amazon is doing this., sending a defective product just to cater the needs of it consumers. I recently buy an item that cost $750, and when i received the item, the item is not box by a regular amazon box but by the item's box alone and the box is not sealed its like somebody unbox it already for me. It's very frustrating and the worst is, when i tried the item it is defective. It's a very hussle when you only want in the first place is to buy good, working defent product. Kinda traumaticing. This is the 2nd time around that amazon did this to me. New modus of amazon, sent thier returned and defective products just to push sales.

I use this microphone and its wireless counterpart very regularly. It ranks near the top of favorite microphones. I find this microphone very useful for several reason. The v48 (phantom power) that this microphone requires boost its sensitivity, making it perfect for week vocals. This microphone also provides clear tone for many, but for those week a deep boomy voice will only add to the problem. The polarity option on this microphone make it great when transitioning from using wireless In-Ears to on stage monitors that produce more than 92db of stage noise. In a rare occasion I have seen this microphone used as a HI-Hat Microphone but I would not recommend it for anything other that vocalist. AKA, what it was made for. Do note that when you remove the mesh capsule there will be option for changing the microphone polarity, this can make a very large effect depending on if your playing an acoustic set or a full concert.
