Does it have a Reverse control?

Of course it has a Reverse button, if you mean a Rewind button. I don't know what a Reverse control button does. None of the buttons it had worked, but only intermittently -- not every time I pressed them.

No instructions came with the Memorex Model MB1055, and I have no idea what size cassette tapes to use.

Normal sized cassettes. Obviously, the mini cassettes won't work because they are 1/3 the size and won't fit in your recorder. There are different lengths of cassette tapes, usually from 60 min - 120 min. That choice is up to you. There are also different qualities of cassette tape depending on what you want to record. Again, that choice is up to you. The play button is for play, the record to record, etc. Why would you need instructions. That's like saying that you bought a record player and it didn't come with instructions on what size of record to play....

Does this taper recorder come with an ac adapter so i can plug it into an outlet instead of battery operate?
