This is a great calculator as a student is getting ready to start pre-algebra and algebra subjects. For most students those are subjects taught in 7th, 8th, and 9th grades, so this will be a good calculator to use currently and grow with. **Q: Does it have a cover** A: Yes it has a slide on cover. **Q: Is this calculator good for a 10th grader taking algebra 2 ap?** A: If i recall algebra 2....i think it will perform the trignometry aspect perfectly.
