EXACTLY what I was looking for. Warm, comfy, and high-quality
I am not much of a slipper guy, but I'm even less of a cold feet guy. I found these slippers, made by a brand I can trust, and they delivered on all aspects. Construction: -They seem well-built with quality, straight stitching. They are not heavily sewn -- meaning they are strictly slippers -- but seams and craftsmanship are top-notch. -The sole is attached with only a single stitching of medium-gauge thread. It does appear that the sole is glued as well, so this may purely be cosmetic or as a redundancy. -The interior is what you would expect of a Sorel product. The "fur" is heavily-matted and dense, warm (even when outside), and will hold up for more than a month or two. -The exterior is made of thick nubuck or suede. -It wears like a slpper. Meaning that it is flexible and soft on all accounts. The sole is plenty flexible and it doesn't feel like you're wearing around a pair of shoes. Performance and Impressions: -These things are warm, warm, warm! Sometimes borderline "too warm" on days that it's not 20 or below. -They run small. For comparison, I wear a size 13-14 shoe (a "true" 13 by measurement), a 12 Sorel boot, and I ordered these in 14. They fit perfectly. -The sole does not come up along the sides. This really is my only complaint. I like that they're "outdoor soles" and I can use them when running outside, but if there's any snow that hasn't been shoveled or compacted, they are going to get your slippers wet. Being that they're entirely fabric, this could be potentially problematic. Conclusion: In all, I couldn't be more happy with these slippers. They have a very traditional style, they're a quality product, and seem much better built than most any slipper I've seen. It has been one of the best "personal splurges" that I have ever made and I only regret not purchasing them sooner. I have a feeling many people will be getting these as Christmas gifts this year from me so they can take part in my joy. These are worth their weight in gold and, all things considered, provide a great value for the money.

The Most Comfortable Slippers At Any Price!
These aren't the cheap fake fur - doomed to end up as dog toy slippers you're used to getting from relatives you haven't seen in twenty years over the Holidays. These Sorel slippers are exceptionally well made and equally comfortable. The plush sued uppers are water resistant, they breath and are beautifully finished. The inside fleece is warm and cozy and the overall construction is built for comfort and built to last. The inside support foam is just forgiving enough to make for a snug fit with or without heavy socks. One of the nicest details is that unlike traditional "clog style" there is a back heel that keeps them on and moisture out if you walk outside to grab the mail or call in the dogs. I'm not saying you can romp through a foot of snow or pouring rain but the molded rubber bottoms give you good stability outside and inside. The soles don't squeak and the slippers are virtually weightless - they also rise up around the foot like ankle high - it's a smart design and well thought out. True to size they fit perfectly but I suggest ordering a size larger if you like to wear thick cotton socks if that's the case for you too my advice is to order a full size larger than your shoe size for an optimum fit. The slippers are shipped in a Sorel shoe box and packaged extremely well. If you're a Prime member you'll get 2 day shipping for free so they arrive fast and free. Without question these are the most comfortable slippers I can remember owning. I ordered extra pairs for gifts. The Sorel Manwan slippers are exceptionally well made, have baseball stitching which is the strongest stitch there is, look great and fee; even better - now if I can only get our Bulldogs to understand they're not chew toys.

which causes a good bit of good pain
To begin, I have neuropathy, which causes a good bit of good pain, crazy temp sensations, stabbing, shocking, basically any nerve pain signals a nerve can transmit to protect us is what I get 24x7, because the nerves in my feet are dying. That shared, I find myself trying to handle the most persistent sensation, that my feet are freezing off the ends of my legs, and these slippers are a GOD SEND to help with that. I have a surplus of about thick wool socks, of all shapes and sizes, purchased to try to help with this freezing sensation in my feet, but other than a tub of hot water, these slippers have been "the best", simply amazing and have brought so much comfort, in terms of pure "warmth!" Ironically, today I took them to the shoe repair store, to see if they could put new bottoms on them, because I refused to take them off when I left the house to walk my dogs, and after nearly 3 years of abuse with walking on pavement, etc., the bottoms finally wore away, but still, the upper part of the slippers are still like new! Hence my desire to have them repaired, but I will not hesitate to purchase the same slipper new if the cost to repair them doesn't make sense. My weekly walk average is about 1.5 miles a day, as I refuse to let the neuropathy sideline me in terms of exercise, for both me and my two rescue terriers, but gosh, these slippers have kept me moving even when the cold sensations were out control! They are simply amazing! I actually plan to contact Sorel to see if they make a men's "boot" with the same incredibly comfortable, warm (WARM WARM!) characteristics. If you struggle with cold feet, or know someone that does, I promise you, these will bring them so much happiness via the warmth that they provide to folks trying to manage cold feet, via Neuropathy, old age, or whatever. These slippers are AMAZING! I just need a variation of them that I can wear everywhere, and never take off! You will not be disappointed! Tom New Albany, Ohio

not bad but...
I usually wear the Cabela's shearling slippers. I bought the last pair maybe 5 years ago, could be longer. When the stitching wore away in the back I decided to start looking for a new pair. I never wear slippers outside but I do wear them daily (cold ceramic tile floors in New England) so this time I decided to go for the rubber sole. I didn't want anything to thick but something that would help keep me from participating in the stair luge. I wear an 11 shoe but went up a size after reading all these helpful reviews and thankfully so. The 12's fit very well. upon arrival I tried them on and my initial impression was soft, snug, warm, but my ankles aren't covered anymore, wt? I do like the very thin rubber sole, it provides a great deal more traction for walking down hard wood stairs. I wouldn't go out in rain or snow wearing them but I could probably make a run to the mailbox without worry. They are definitely very comfortable so I considered my purchase a success. Well its been a few weeks now and I noticed that if I wear them for long periods on a lazy Saturday my feet sweat like I just played hockey for 2 hours. This was surprising considering my old Cabela's slippers didn't do this to me. I slid them off to inspect a bit closer and noticed some of the fuzz inside starting to clump into balls. I removed the fuzz ball and threw it away. Now these fit tighter than my old ones which makes putting them on a two handed operations. I believe the snug fit coupled with the man made fiber fuzz is causing extra moisture which will in turn lessen their lifetime. I expect them to last maybe a year, at best maybe 2 if I wear socks inside them but I kinda feel like wearing socks in slippers defeats the purpose. Time will tell and I'll revisit this review in a few months to track progress.

For female customers...
searching for women's house-slippers on Amazon turns up a lot of flimsy-looking, open-back, sandal style slippers. I wanted something with a closed back that would offer serious warmth. I never intended to walk down the runway wearing these so cosmetics weren't that crucial. Initially I bought a cheap pair of wool slippers. They arrived warped and misshapen with the wool pealing away from the sole out of the box. I wore them for a couple of months and as it is with wool, they were covered with pills and pretty unsightly. But THESE slippers... All I can say is at last my search is over. At the current price of $40 I can easily say they're worth every penny. I used to have a pair of sheepskin Emu's and these remind me of those boots. These slippers are warm, comfy & they look good. They are very well constructed and I expect they'll last quite a while. If and when they do fail, I'll be sure to get another pair. A note on sizing: I'm a women's 8.5 in everything, heels, boots, runners. I'm typically a 7 in men's but followed the advice of other reviewers and went with the 8. The fit is perfect. I could probably fit into a 7 but it would have been snug, although I'm sure these break in & stretch over time. Very happy with this product. Well worth the price.

Nice cozy slippers!
I needed some new slippers to replace some cheap nylon/pleather ones I've had for years that are beginning to crack in the sole. These slippers were highly rated by many customers reviews, and I liked their style. As others noted in their reviews, they often said they tend to run a little small in size. Taking their advice I ordered a pair in size 10, and I wear a size 9.5 tennis shoe typically. When I received them and first tried them on, I thought I might have to return them because they felt just a little too snug, but I also wear socks on my feet inside them which takes up just a little more room. The length was fine, my big toe is just short of the seam you see on the top of the shoe in the front so the length was fine. After wearing them occasionally for several days afterwards they seem to be fitting better so I think I made the right decision not returning them right away. So if you're considering these, you may want to order them in a half size larger then your normal shoe size. They are very cozy, and are made of quality materials. The fuzzy lining is very generous which adds to their snug fit and feel most likely. There is excellent arch support that felt odd at first as my other slippers have no support whatsoever. So these feel more like a good shoe should rather than flat slippers. Others noted they even wear there's outside the home. I think they'd hold up fine doing that occasionally, but mine will be only wore around the house, with maybe an occasional trip to the trash can outside in dry weather only so they'll last me a long time!

Perfect for Autumn and hopefully winter wear indoors.
wow, these are perfect for me! I'm glad I spent a little bit more money than planned to get something that not only feels comfortable but keep my feet warm. I have some circulation issues due to frostbite years ago and it's difficult to keep my toes warm even in the house. These may help me to make it though the cooler months and winter. Nothing worse than sitting around with cold feet! I don't recommend wearing them when the temps are above 70F as your feet will most likely sweat. They do feel a slight bit small. I wear a 10.5 US in men's footwear and opted for the size 11 based on other buyers comments. I've had mine going on two weeks and they feel a little looser now. I believe in the middle of winter I could wear a medium thickness sock. Keep in mind these are slippers and should be used indoors. However the sole appears to be sturdy enough to wear them outdoors to do light errands or get the mail.

WELL WORTH THE MONEY
I wanted a slipper that I could wear outdoors and inside, that would stay on my feet and keep my feet warm in the spring and winter. I also wanted something that had a cushion and some support, and by golly, I finally found them. They fit like a boot, but are a slipper. They keep my feet warm and comfortable on the top, bottom, all the way up to my ankles. They are so comfortable that I got in the car and went to town before I noticed I had them on. I plan on buying another set. I will get a 1/2 a size bigger this time. I find this pair a little snug with socks on, but are still very comfortable. I have four other pairs of different slippers, even the ones with the open back. They are all going in storage, and these SORELS are going to be my all season slipper.

Great vendor, great product.
Ordered the wrong size and vendor allowed me to go to his brick and mortar to do the exchange. It was a bit of a drive but probably cheaper than returning by mail and hoping I got the right size. The slippers themselves are simply amazing. Warm, but not so warm that your feet are constantly sweating. They are as comfortable as anything you can place on your feet. Expensive, yes, but I think worth it overall. The construction looks like they will last many years rather than having to replace cheap Walmart ones every year.

Very Comfy, warm and good looking.
Beautiful product. Well made and very warm. Perhaps even a bit too warm depending on ambient temperature and your preference. The only negative I have thought of yet is that I wish it had a little tab at the rear to hold onto while I slip them on. Right now I grab the rear of the opening instead.
