I think... *by J***N on Reviewed in the United States on April 24, 2013* The "I think..." part is due to the fact that attraction and the reasons for it are hard to quantify. There's the placebo factor to consider in any such product, which is that a man who feels like he's attractive is more likely to project that image, and women like men who have confidence. That said, what I've noticed over the past few weeks are:1) It smells good. The pheromones are masked by the cologne, which has a very good, masculine scent. I'd use this for the scent alone.2) Women have been gravitating to me more than usual. They seem to get closer, stay longer, and be friendlier, even flirtier. I don't think this is just placebo effect. In fact, I'd recommend using this with a little caution and only around the kind of women you want to attract. Based on experience.Another reviewer remarked that he thought a lot of the reviews of this product were either faked or imagined. I can only vouch for my own. However, one thing to understand is that pheromones like any hormones are very potent, and the reason they work in nature is that they're potent at very dilute levels. Therefore it makes sense that the base of this product is something inert: water and alcohol. Wearing a spritz of straight pheromones be would ridiculous overkill. Animals don't produce pheromones by the bucket, and they're not designed to be used that way.Also, as mentioned above, a lot of factors combine to produce attraction. Using this product, as others have said, will not get women to shed clothing at your mere approach. This is just one tool in the toolbox. The reviews on Amazon said it worked.2. Competing products were described as having an overpowering smell.3. The price per volume seemed like a good value.When I received the product I noticed the ingredients on the label: SDA40B alcohol, purified water, di-propylene glycol, essential oils, human pheromones. So it's mostly alcohol and contains extremely little pheromones.Reason 3 for buying the product is now eliminated. It's cheaper because it's diluted. Then I started thinking about reason 2. It's smells nice like an aftershave because it's mostly alcohol, just like an aftershave.I began to test whether the product works, being aware not to let the placebo effect color my observations. First one spray per day, then two sprays, I worked up to eight sprays, always with no effect. Nothing.What about the guys on Amazon that swear it works? One guy wrote, "I have never been approached by so many girls in one night. It was insane. I got 8 numbers, a good night for me is 3 at the most and that's a really good night." In retrospect, that review is just too good to be true. In a crowded party, a woman from across the room approaches you because you smelled sexy and she could just tell from a distance that the smell was yours and not one of the other guys? To date, the only product that this guy has reviewed is PherX. I'm guessing that the review is just advertising from Zyloo Research Labs posing as a review, but maybe it's a real guy that's very susceptible to the placebo effect.I selected the Amazon reviewers that appear to be real people because they've review products that are not from Zyloo Research Labs. Now I know that I've been duped. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Definitely worth trying out *by A***R on Reviewed in the United States on June 11, 2015* In my experience this works. I've tried Realm (a different pheromone cologne, about $70 for 1.7oz back in the day) twice before with zero noticeable effect, whereas PherX has produced some definite- and interesting- results, not all of them necessarily welcome (ever been "huffed" by a teenager? It's a little awkward). I've been using PherX on and off for over two years now, and I've experimented with it enough that I can say with confidence that it works for me.I originally bought this to see what effect it might have on my wife... it definitely makes her more frisky (and no, I haven't told her about it), but funnily enough she also doesn't like the PherX scent. I use another cologne on top of it (Farenheit, her favorite- and yes, her reaction is different than if I use Farenheit alone) to help with that.As for the mixed reviews... scent is one of the most subjective things out there. Any given cologne is going to smell differently on various people, and be received differently depending on the smeller's preferences. Pheromones may work similarly- PherX may work great for me but not so much for another, and the effect seems to vary a little depending on who's doing the smelling. Is it worth it to try it out? Without a doubt, yes. Keep in mind though, this stuff isn't a miracle brain-override. If you're a jerk or haven't showered in a week, don't expect pheromones (or anything else, really) to override that. In my experience this stuff simply makes others view you more favorably (and if they already like you, it seems to intensify that)... sometimes, though, that's all it takes to move things from "friendly" to "interested". Point is, your mileage can and will vary, but in my opinion it's worth seeing what that mileage will be.I can also say that younger people seem to respond more strongly to it (or maybe they're simply more impulsive and less reserved with their reactions?). I'm 40 and happily married so that's not really a plus for me, but for the younger guys out there it may be useful.Last tip: DON'T spray this on your shirt or clothes. This or any other cologne, really. You want to target your the center of your bare chest, your wrists and the sides of your neck. One or two sprays on the chest, one on the wrists and rub together, then apply the excess cologne from your wrists onto the sides of your neck.
