So I was pleased to find a product that simplified things. This combination of a pre-installed USB drive and disk does just that. But it remains more complicated than Windows' insert-disk-click-'Run' simplicity. There's no ''Run' program to click on, and I wondered if it was accidentally omitted. I emailed the seller, who goes by 'Sir Tanon,'and received a prompt, friendy response explaining Linux' different approach. With that email in hand, the installation went just fine. Still, I would urge anyone contemplating a switch to Linux to do a LOT of reading on the subject. There are literally dozens of Linux variants, each with its own strengths and weaknesses, and the installation process is quite different and not idiot proof. There's one spot at which ignoring a clear on-screen warning and selecting the wrong action could wipe your hard drive clean!
