Solid mount
Nice solid set of rings. See attached pics of the package--they give more info than the description. I successfully mounted a 50 mm objective scope from a well-known scope mfg (famous for their warranty) and this height was perfect on my .308 bolt action. The objective end of the scope has about 1/2" clearance from the barrel. Good solid rings, instill a lot if confidence. I felt no need for and thread locker. I highly recommended.

Beware!Check fit and finish carefully
I have used many sets of Weaver rings over the years and never had any issues with any of them. These marked up my brand new score because of the poor machining on the lower mount only. The top pieces were fine. After noticing this i used a socket which was close to the same diameter with 600 grit wet/ dry sandpaper to remove the high spots which turned out to be only on both outer edges of each of the lower mount pieces. I notified Weaver, emailed them photos of the marks on the scope (is wasn't a Swarovski or Nightforce but it was still hundreds of dollars). Have not heard anything back from Weaver. If you're going to buy Weaver mounts, after my experience, I would recommend carefully checking fit and finish before using them. I didn't do this because I had never had any quality control issues with Weaver mounts before.

I love these rings
I only use these scope rings. No issues. I donโt have to ever retighten them; ie, I used lock tight to hold the parts together. Never ever a problem. Donโt change what ainโt broke! Thx.

wrong height was sent
Well folks, I order low rings and got Med. If any-one would like to send me low ones I will return these. But fool me twice (shame on me), I'm not returning till I get the right ones. You will just need to trust me. But they were nice rings. Because of the six screws I went light on the tort so not to crush the Barska 6-24 IR scope I just order here for a .17 HMR. What I did was I used a feeler gauge to set the top half ring to be even on both sides and be-for I tort then tighter. This gave me the level I needed to match my scope. (trusting Savage had it right). After matching my scope level to that, I then tighten them up the normal way. Not bad for a girl huh? Now if I could only fine my bore sight I would set the scope at 30 feet to be a couple inches over the red dot and hope I hit the paper at 100 yards. Low rings would have been grand people. I search 25 miles looking for low ones. And had thought Amazon would save the day. I give up... I put them on. Four stars but not OK to change low to Med.

Unbeatable, especially for for the price!
These things are beefy; six screws for the scope clamps and 7/16 nuts for the mount clamp means these aren't moving after mounting! Nothing comes close at this price point, especially for being made in USA. Don't fall for chineseium garbage, buy these with confidence.

Tac rings
WOW you want a nice set of rings these are the ones!!! Very sturdy, 6 bolt lock down, extra wide,to handle large scopes well. They do have a large base so on some bolt actions with normal reciever mounts you'll have some overhang, but for a rail type mount or flat top AR platform type there built like a tank and fit like a glove. As always I like the "real" Weaver mounts best and highly recomend them. I have several of there "Quad Lock" rings and there best for a standard sporter type gun. Just a sugestion, you should always lap your rings for maximum performance, but most don't and still get great results, just anouther way to maximize your target accuracy @1000 yards. It really makes a difference for the type of scopes these rings were designed for. Great rings!!****************** Update; I didn't notice when I got the rings as they were so beefy, BUT they were 1" not 30mm even though they were labeled 30mm. Here we go again with Amazon, anouther incorrect/ defective item and shipping costs to return, not this time. Lots of return issues and disappiontments with Amazon lately!!! It's getting old. Further update****** Amazon was outstanding handleing the snafu with these rings and saved a missed hunt that had been planed for months. And all with 1 quick e-mail,Thanks folks, good job!!

Excellent USA made product!
Looks great, sturdy, good fit. Weaver has always made good stuff in my opinion and these are as good I have had. They come with a bristol wrench for easy installation. The only negative whatsoever was that this and 2 other items, listed as "in stock" were not shipped from Amazon until after another product shipped from Ca. to NC on the same order had arrived. (free shipping) This is in no way a reflection on the quality of the product. I will order more of different heights and sizes.

Tough scope rings!
Works Great! I have these on all of my scopes. I was shooting my AR off the cab of my pickup, I went to change the targets and the wind came up and knocked my gun off onto the ground. I shot it expecting my zero to be way off but between it and my Nikon prostaff 5 the zero was still dead on. It was a good 6.5' drop off of my f-250. My Brother had the cheaper $10 scope rings, his shoulder strap broke and his gun fell on the ground from 4 ft and it stripped off both bolts on the rings that held them to the bases, he was done hunting for the day. Highly recommend

These are nice, and solid.
I bought these so I didn't have to pay 200 dollars locally. I wasn't disappointed. They are solid, and I had no problems installing them. Would I buy them again? Yup, In fact, I bought a second set to replace some rings on another rifle. I'm very very satisfied with these rings, and the vendor.

Package was missing 1 screw...
Rings are durable and won't have any issue at all holding my Leupold on my 30-06. The only issue I have is with the scews. The rings use 6 torx screws each, so a total 12 screws, and it was shipped with only 11. I am sure the have quality control in their packaging department, but it seems probability was not in my favor. Now I am going to have the struggle of finding only 1 screw.

JUNK!!!!!!
These rings are complete junk the base bolt breaks under recoil and these where torqued to the proper value using a torque driver and snapped off under recoil ,when i took a close look at them after they broke you can see the base bolt is garbage just cheap pot metal. they look nice but for some reason they have chosen too use a junk bolt , i will never buy weaver product again and i recommend you don't either save up and buy something else ,you will have to pay over 130 dollars for good rings but its worth it not to have your scope to fall off your gun then going out and buying new rings and zeroing your scope.
