Great for tree work
Takes a bit to get the hang of using them, but great product, they dig in so no slipping. Biggest obstacle was me.

Well built
They are very well built and feel very secure. I gave 3 stars for comfort because like any tree spike they are not the most comfortable but as far as tree spikes go they are as comfortable as they can be I guess. I’ve used these on several different kinds of trees and they performed well on all of them.

Overal good quality
The screws to assemble and adjust the upper and lower part are to light and it is very hard to tighten them, otherwise overal quality very good.

Poor tech support.
By the look of the hardware, these climbers should do the job but so far untried. The screws that attach the extension pieces don't fasten. I called tech support four times over two weeks and was told each time someone would get back to me by end of day. Still waiting.

Good enough, maybe not the best made
These are good enough. They aren’t as fancy as some others but they’ll get the job done. I very much disliked the shin pads that these came with and changed those after 1 climb. If I did it again I’d have saved longer and bought another “B” brand’s aluminum tree gaffs. But, with Klein upgraded hyrdacool pads these work well enough and are far more comfortable. I plan to upgrade the foot straps too. Theses are durable but Velcro would be nicer and easier on the ankles. For me, 8” boots are minimum and I try to climb in my 10” tall whites as anything shorter than 8” the straps rub my ankles raw after a few hours spiking around trees.
