## Description

Berries, apples, melons, and grapes; oranges, grapefruits, bananas -- yum! This scrumptious picture book, a companion to The Vegetables We Eat, offers youngsters an inviting, information-packed cornucopia of favorite fruits. Gail Gibbons combines a clear, simple text with her signature illustrations to present fruit facts galore: the parts of fruits, where and how they grow, harvesting, processing, where to buy them, and how to enjoy them as part of a healthy diet.

Review: a book that grows with your child - This is an awesome book that can grow with your child and teach a variety of important facts about some of the foods they see and eat. There is a lot of information that can be used in a lot of ways, at different comprehension levels. I ordered this book, and its companion book "The Vegetables We Eat" for primary school lesson plans. One look through this book and my mind was whirling with all the different activities and learning approaches possible. It is bright and colorful, with pictures and information to keep your interest, at any age! I LOVE THEM BOTH!
Review: Very educational and well illustrated! - In searching for an ART Lesson Plan I stumbled across this author. I loved the first book so much I purchased another one and plan to buy more. Delightful and educational!!! The first book was “The Vegetables We Eat.”

My 3 and 5 year olds like to read this again and again. As usual, Gibbons does an excellent job presenting non-fiction in engaging ways to a young audience.
