The magnetic clip is more than enough to hold the light weight of the meter and is does much more than I need it to. I was debating whether or not to get the Fluke for 3x as much, but I just couldn't justify the price. If I were an engineer designing precise electrical systems then a solid 'maybe' on the Fluke. The Astro looks great and I bought the hard case to help protect it even though it looks like it could take a pretty solid beating.
