I needed to buy one for a usb external hard drive that needed to connect to my laptop, but I lost the original. Definitely worth a buy if it's an add-on item and perfect with prime shipping (it take ages for Ebay to ship theirs). I had a cooling fan/laptop table and it works great with it. I would connect the fan underneath the laptop table and to my apple pro and it works great. Will this charge a macbook air from its usb port to usb port in a wall plug? No. Use your actual Macbook Air charger to charge your laptop.... Can I use this with a portable battery charger Yes. As many others have mentioned, this cable is very thick and sturdy. I purchased the 6.5 foot version of the cable and am happy I did so. It gives me plenty of length for what I need. I purchased the cable to try out with the iRulu 10.1" tablet I received for Christmas (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009HISC3I/ref=oh_details_o06_s00_i00) because it only came with a charger. I had read on one review of the tablet that a usb 3.0 cable would charge the tablet. I was thrilled when I plugged the cable into the top usb port on the tablet and then into a wall charger or my computer to find out that it does indeed charge the tablet. It also allows for data transfer from a computer to the tablet as well so I was able to put a bunch of music on my iRulu. 5 stars - Durable, fast, and very affordable. I would recommend to anyone.

It is a good cable. A standard USB to USB cable. Appears to be of a good construction. Thought the price was high-but if you can't get one locally......Cable works and that is what I needed. Needed it the next day and Amazon came through for me. Didn't give it a 5 because it is just s good standard USB cable.

This is a solid cable. C2G produce wonderful cables at a reasonable price. It is USB A on both ends, so be aware of that before you buy it, it is not an USB Extension cable. I use it with my OTG Plug, so I can turn it into an actual USB cable to charge my table. It works great. I haven't transferred any data with it, so I can't say how fast it is, but I have never been let down by C2G.

I purchased this hoping to get a DVD player I had purchased at an auction to work. None of the red, white, yellow combinations proceed anything but then I noticed there was A USB port on both the TV and another on the DVD player. I looked in all the regular places for a USB/USB like Target, Wal-Mart etc. So it seemed that Amazon should have been my first choice. I ordered the 3ft cord, and as per usual, it arrived within two days. The quality of the cord is absolutely way above par. The cable itself would fetch a pretty penny in a brick and mortar store but was very affordable at Amazon. Sadly, for me, it didn't fix my DVD problem but it's not for lack of quality of product. In all, Price= Exceptional Value Quality = Exceptional I would definitely recommend to anyone.
