I drain the water from the can, add some hot water and let it sit for about 5 minutes. I then drain it and add to the pot with the saltfish and seasonings. However, it would be okay to just drain and add. That’s what’s on the instruction for the recipe on the label. **Q: Is this product Kosher?** A: I dont know for sure but this is only the ackee fruit/vegetable cleaned and canned in brine basically.
