A more matured Pi for a progressive industry
More RAM and a better processor?! I jumped on getting a RPi2 as soon as I had seen a lot of Amazon vendors started carrying them. I was awaiting a new shipment through Newark/Element14 but it was taking too long and I was tired of waiting, so I cancelled my order once I had seen them selling on Amazon. Through Newark it would've been about $50 after shipping + tax so no loss there. I payed the extra $4 to get expedited shipping. I ordered mine through Chicago Electronics Distributor as I live in Indiana so it'd be even less of a wait and since I ordered from them before.I updated/upgraded my Raspbian img I was using for my B+ because I didn't want to start over with a fresh install. Afterwards on the RPi2 there is a setting in raspi-config for RPi2 overclock which I selected. I will say that I noticed an improvement in speed and performance after playing around with things for a bit. I tried to update my RaspBMC img as well but it didn't load. I'm guessing the team hasn't made an update yet. PiGlow didn't start up once the system loaded. I don't think it's built to be compatible with ARMv7 though so... I read somewhere some HATS might not be compatible with ARMv7. The only other thing I tried was Ubuntu Snappy Core but didn't get very far because there's not enough Pi resources to turn to for it just yet. Also there isn't much there yet but it is for devs so an average person like me doesn't know his way around Linux or Ubuntu much in that sense. We'll see what develops within the year I guess. What I'm really hoping is that we finally get a good, fully working version of Android on RPi at some point. It would be nice to have a UI version of some form for Ubuntu and Windows 10 further down the road too. All we can do is hope. I think it's kinda funny that this little credit card sized computer can outperform an HP Mini 210 netbook I used to own. Raspberry Pi has come a long way in just a few short years and I started off with the first revised Model B so I've seen the evolution of the B model since up to this point.

Works great as expected..
Pi itself works great, it's much faster and can do much more than any other previous versions and great for multitasking. You can now browse the web just as good as you can on a standard PC.Have tested with the Noobs, Raspbian (Debian Wheezy), Openelec, Snappy Ubuntu Core and Risc OS they all work great. Some of the images has couple miner errors but they are still in development and being updated almost everyday. You will need a beefier power supply with this one, ( 5V 2A - 2.2A).As to people who are new to Raspberry Pi, these units cost $35.00 each and depending on where and when you purchase, you may see a huge price difference.I've got 4 of them from MCM and they were and still are $35.00 a piece.

Awesome device!
The new Raspberry Pi 2 is pretty awesome-quadcore processor & 1GB RAM, along with 2x the amount of USB ports as my original RaspPi Model B. Compared to the RaspPi B+ (which is also excellent), its a lot faster-installed Raspibian 3x as fast. Can't wait to really dig into its capabilities. Price is a little high.....but that's to be expected when you get it from a supplier. FYI-get a really high transfer-rate MicroSD....it helps when you're installing software & doing calculations.

Go for the Raspberry Pi 3 instead
Was perfect till the Raspberry Pi 3 was launched, with the WiFi and Bluetooth that the Pi 2 lacks embedded.

I am happy with this new model
I use it for SmarTV. Very fast if compare it with Raspberry Pi B+ 512MB. But this model was expensive. I am happy with this new model. Four stars.

Awesome product. Awesome vendor.
I had recently bought a raspberry pi B+ model and decided to try the second generation of raspberry pi's. It is great. I had trouble installing the raspberrian OS and contacted the vendor for assistance. They responded the next day and their advice helped me set up my raspberry pi. I like the customer service this vendor had.

Does not work?
I got this and I plugged it in, plugged my.monitpr in but it seems like the usb ports don't work.... I know it's not a fault of mine because I wasn't even able to use it before it stopped working. I've had 3 raspberry pi's before so I know what I'm doing. I'm very disappointed with my purchase as it seems to be a defective model.
