Dips may be extended if fish show no evidence of stress. It says nothing about a water change. **Q: Does this kill leeches and leech eggs? Will be used in quarantine buckets for plants and decorations, not the tank.** A: Malachite green whish is active ingredient kills them so in theory yes it should work. I've used it for hdras and flukes which both tend to be more hardy than leaches. **Q: Will this cause ammonia spike? Or, kill any beneficial bacteria?** A: I personally didn't have any problems. I used a half dosage twice a day and it worked well. I would use caution though with sensitive fish. **Q: I have 37 gallon tank and how many times do i use to cure the ich?** A: I used a capful for my 37 gallon tank and followed the instructions on the bottle for the amount of daily treatments. MUST READ *by on Reviewed in the United States September 1, 2026* I’ll say that Google Gemini helped me with the process of removing ick breakout from my fish. I’m a new fish owner and didn’t know what I was doing and ended up getting fish with ick . Unfortunately, 3 fish died because I detected the ick late and didn’t check the water parameters and just pouring the medication without thinking of my fish health. First and foremost you MUST check the ph!!! In order to work successfully! Keep in mind I had corys when I did the treatment! Also plants! 🌱 I had to buy crushed corals to maintain a stable ph environment for the medication to work. Frequent water changes like 20%-30% every three days because ick will detach from your fish after 3 days! And add the designated medication based on your gallon tank! I also used QUICK START for beneficial bacteria! I didn’t feed my fish as well but tiny speck of food to prevent ammonia build up! Maintain your light off when you medicate your fish ! Have the medication do its job for 48hrs. This whole process took me 14 DAYS!!!! Once I was done with the treatment, I did 50% water change and added activated carbon filter ( make sure to remove it when medicating your fish !) now my babies are thriving!!! A must for all quarintine tanks. 7 to 10 days of treatment and your fish are healthy and happy. Use in combination with Kanaplex and Metroplex but make sure you have somthing putting bubbles in your tank. The medication depletes the oxygen levels in the water. Kills ick, fungal infections (fin rot), and other bacterial infections fish can get. I like to feed the kanaplex and metroplex with focus and the garlic guard and use the paraguard for external treatment. The packaging is good. easy to measure doses with the cap, with 1 capful per 10 gallons. Always medicate a smaller aquarium or it'll get expensive to cure your fish. I use a 20 gallon to quarintine my fish in. I service aquariums for a living. This is a go to for fish doctoring. This medication does have a unique smell. Its not a bad smell, it doesnt bother or turn anyone off to using it. Like all fish medications the price is questionable. Usually higher than wanted.
