The cover is easily washed a dried, along with my other bed linen. **Q: How heavy is it?** A: Can’t answer exactly but not very heavy. I wouldn’t like it to be any heavier than it is, I can move it around with ease, but it is weightier enough not to move around when in use. A very useful pillow/leg rest and very firm. I sometimes sit on it. **Q: Is this product suitable if you sleep on your side?** A: I would not consider this product suitable or comfortable, unless you were lying on your back. Wish the memory foam was a little thicker to keep my legs straight and not slowly fall to the side, my legs don’t sink in to the memory foam enough to fully support them. Reasonable product and seems to do the job I bought it for.
