Yes it could be improved but in all at this low price it performs better than expected.Upon reciept I used it to process a whole ribeye into 14 steaks and then cleaned and resharpened it on the back of an old leather belt I use as a strop. A few strokes later it would again shave hair from tip to handgaurd without pulling them at all.It performs just as a convex ground blade should.At this price you won't be disappointed.
