Slowly becoming flatter and flatter - Trash! I would recommend a Camp Dutch Oven Lid Stand made by Lodge or something like it. It is thick and can withstand a lot of heat. I read somewhere that a stand for dutch oven is one of the uses these stands can be used for. I own one and plan on using it for just this purpose on my legless dutch ovens. If you are planning on using it to keep your cooking pans off the coals, it will work great. that kind of cooking takes less heat. **Q: Can it be used in pressure cooker** A: Yes, it should be fine. It's high quality steel. The baking temp in a Dutch oven is also far higher than the pressure cooker (450 vs 250). **Q: Could this be used as legs for a legless dutch oven for a campfire?** A: I wouldn't do that, the metal is not strong enough to hold with the high heat of the fire. It will support it on the table to keep it off the table top but I wouldn't put it in the fire, **Q: What is it made from** A: Crome plated steel from what I see, very sturdy, they do look like stainless steel though... well made heavy duty compared to others I've seen... ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ used with my dutch ovens, this Trivet is fantastic! *by A***L on March 14, 2014* to begin with: the dimensions of the trivet are: about 9" in diameter, 1 7/8" high and the wire that makes it up is 0.180" thick (more than 1/8" thick).the construction is really good. it is very sturdy. Just what I was looking for to use in my dutch ovens.I wanted a way of raising my baking pans off the floor of the dutch ovens and this works perfectly. with a 9" round baking pan, I can truly bake breads, cakes and pies with no problems.I don't believe this Trivet was intended to be used as a roasting trivet. the flat ones I have works best for that. with the flat trivet and water you should get a perfect roast! but as someone said, this trivet is too high to use to roast a chicken or anything bulky. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Three Stars *by C***H on April 20, 2016* kinda big for a dutch oven ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very useful addition to your cast iron cookware *by B***N on June 21, 2013* This is a very heavy duty trivet, designed to support large dutch ovens, including the camping style with legs, on a table. It can also be used as a support for the dutch oven lid so you don't have to set it down in the beach sand or wherever. The legs are bent upwards at the end, so they won't scratch a table.It can also be used in a dutch oven to support a pan or bowl above the bottom of the pot. That's useful when you're baking biscuits or a pie, steaming a dish, or roasting vegetables wrapped in foil. I don't think I'd use this when roasting meat - it doesn't look designed to be a roaster rack.I also use it in the bottom of a Coleman camp oven that sits over a gas burner, to support a small toaster oven sized baking pan.It is also useful as an everyday trivet for camping or at home, although it's not particularly decorative, just functional.I'll have to wait and see how the welds and the chrome finish holds up before I'd give it five stars.
