According to the description max speed is 867Mbps. If connected to 5GHz (867Mbps) or 2.4GHz (300Mbps). Seems like they added the two to advertise 1200 but you can only connect to one or the other. You'll only see big difference if transferring large files across computers within your home. As others mentioned, most ISP speeds are much slower than the max speed of 867Mbps. **Q: So if i have a desktop, all i have to do is plug this in to the usb port?** A: If you are running Windows 10, it's "plug 'n' play". It also comes with an installation CD for older OS. **Q: Can i use this for my pc instead of a ethernet cable** A: You don't need an Ethernet cable for WIFI. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.in/products/124153418-usb-wifi-adapter-1200mbps-usb-3-0-wireless-network-wifi](https://www.desertcart.in/products/124153418-usb-wifi-adapter-1200mbps-usb-3-0-wireless-network-wifi) --- *Product available on Desertcart India* *Store origin: IN* *Last updated: 2026-10-02*
