I honestly was very scared to try out this cup. I had previously tried using a different brands menstrual cup and it was a nightmare. I wasn’t able to get it out, and I had to go the my OBGYN to get it removed after having it in for almost 30 hours. But tbh before I realized I couldn’t get it out it was the most comfortable period of my entire life. I couldn’t feel the up at all, and it was like I wasn’t even on my period. So I was very excited to see this one had a pull tab to help you break the seal (which was the crux of the issue the first time around). Like most other people said, it is a bit of a learning curve and a lot different than other products I have used. I’ve seen a lot of people say it’s challenging to learn how to get in, but getting it out is easy. For me it was definitely the opposite, I was able to get it in within the first few tries, but pulling it out is still kind of hard. Breaking the seal is super easy, but if I don’t hold the cup a certain way I feel like I’m getting torn in half when trying to pull it out. But like I said it’s a learning curve and honestly I’m just ecstatic I can get it out myself lol. This product works great for me because I’m not super familiar with my body, which made it hard for me to figure out where to reach and how to break the seal the first time a tried a cup. The pull tab was really easy for me to reach, and only took one or two tries get it right. I would definitely recommend this to people who want to try a cup but aren’t fully confident they could get it out or are a first time cup user. When it was in I didn’t leak and I couldn’t even feel it! So comfortable! Definitely worth it and saves money in the long run!

I'm not a picky person, and I like to try all different kinds of menstrual products to find what works best for me and my lifestyle. I use tampons through the day, menstrual cups for my long 12hr shifts, and pads or menstrual cups for sleep. I have gravitated towards menstrual cups because of the environmental impact of pad/tampon waste. The other benefits are also that you don't have to spend money every month when you get your periods (just reuse these for every period, no need to buy more. And I have a little sterilizer at home to keep it nice and clean). They also have a MUCH longer wear time, so it is great for sleeping comfortably or, as I mentioned, my long 12 hour shifts with barely any time for breaks. The first time I tried a menstrual cup, it was a different brand and it was absolutely horrendous!! Definitely a learning curve, but also since it suctions onto your cervix, It was painful/miserable to remove! I almost thought I was going to have to get it removed at my OBGYN lol. But I didn't give up, and I bought the Flex cup. What is so great about it is that it has a suction release tab on it, so I have NEVER had any issue taking this out. It is easy to insert and remove, has a little loop to grab onto making it even easier to pull out, fits perfectly and feels like I am wearing nothing. I DID have some leaks which was a huge disappointment BUT that was before I got a bigger size (when I bought this, I had never had any kids and was in my mid 20s so I thought the smaller one would suit me). I swallowed my pride and got a bigger one, it's still easy to place, and it has never leaked for me. Lasts me the full 12 hours without any mess and feels like I'm wearing nothing at all. Yes, you may get some blood on your fingers with insertion and removal, but not in your underwear and that is a miniscule price to pay for the countless benefits of a menstrual cup. Overall, I highly recommend this menstrual cup and if you DO have leaks or if you hear of anyone that has had issues with these leaking, it likely isn't the product but the person. They just need a bigger size (speaking from experience). Hope this helps!

After trying several brands, this is my absolute favorite. It’s easy to use, easy to remove, no leakage, soft material so i don’t feel the cup. So happy with this cup!

I'm an intimacy and sexuality counselor who puts a strong focus on trusting the body and nature to have gotten it right before we intervened. Using a menstrual cup is kind of an obvious choice for someone like me, but it took me a long time to finally bite the bullet and make the move. This cup came highly recommended and I was excited to try it. I'll start with the pros because they definitely are up there: 1- Easy to use. I watched a video or two on YouTube to be sure I was inserting it right, but got the hang of it immediately. The only snag was not realizing right away that these sit much lower down in the vaginal canal than tampons do. I don't know why instructions aren't clearer in that regard. 2- No leaks! I think that surprised me the most. How this product really works! Once its in- it really does what it says it will do. 3- Easy to clean. I was worried about the ick factor when it came to cleaning this little piece out. But the silicone actually makes for super easy cleaning. Just a quick rinse in the sink and you're good to go another round. The color helps too. 4- Holds a lot. One of the reasons I finally make the switch over from tampons is because of a hormonal issue that caused me to have extremely heavy periods. I was going through super plus tampons every hour and needed an option I could rely on until I got my health figured out. The cup holds hours worth of flow without leaks, which gave me my life back. Can wear for hours at a time Now for the the cons- Despite wanting to love the cup and having every reason to, within a few months of using, I was finding myself doubled over in pain, cramping, having back pain, and limping with every cycle. At first I thought it was my health stuff again, but then I started noticing that I immediately felt better when I was taking the cup out for periods of time (to shower etc). It took a while to connect the pain I was experiencing to the cup, but within a short time it was clear that these symptoms were only happening with the cup and not if I chose to wear a napkin or tampon. After doing a little research, I found out that the vaginal walls are not only surrounded by other organs, but also contain many acupressure points that don't always respond kindly when pressed for extended periods of time. I also found out that different cups are made with different levels of firmness, and that this one tends to be on the firmer end of the spectrum. I wanted this to be my forever cup and had every reason to love it and will keep recommending it to others, but it didn't work for me and will need to be shopping for a softer option. Giving this product full stars for two reasons: 1- it does everything it's supposed to do. Period products are not one size fits all and that's okay. 2- Flex reached out to offer me a full refund. I know many menstrual cups and disc products are manufactures by small businesses and sellers and the level of care they have for the consumer is impressive. I really appreciate their dedication to ensuring women have the best possible experience here.

This is probably the best thing I have EVERRRRR bought myself!!! I have been on my period/spotting for 4 months straight due to Nexplanon and the Flex Cup has saved me so much time and money it’s not even funny. I feel much more hygienic without a tampon string and not having to dispose pads/tampons. I use a 7-fold and only have to empty/clean when I’m home at my own sink. I originally bought this because other menstrual cups I tried got stuck and caused me to freak out. My cervix is stupid high and I could not get my finger in the position to break the seal (like not even a slight chance that was happening). The pull tab on this works exactly like a tampon and breaks the seal for you!! I bear down a little and we’re good to go. If any of this sounds appealing to you do yourself a favor and get this cup!! I’m not a bot just a girl who’s life has been changed due to this piece of silicone!!!

Update: Unfortunately, while I was initially enamored with this product and convinced my life had changed for the better, I had two mishaps with one catastrophic enough that I've decided menstrual cups just aren't for me. I had an especially heavy flow and was feeling anemic, the first leak I had gotten up from sleeping for a long period and when I threw my legs over the edge of the bed to stand up my blood got squeezed out of the cup, but this incident wasn't super bad. However it happened again two days later on an even much heavier day where I slept even longer like I was in a coma, and where I had so much blood built up I could feel it was overflowing/beyond the cup, and when I realized this I was like oh crap I need to hurry to the bathroom and when I swung my legs over to the edge of the bed the result was catastrophic, blood everywhere. I was even wearing a super heavy flow/night time Always pad and somehow it just shot out my butt and completely avoided the pad. I was super upset and decided never again, though I will keep this product in storage if I ever do happen to need it (I run out of tampons or something.) If you don't have a uterus that bleeds like it's trying to fuel a sacrificial altar then you will likely be fine, mine just doesn't want me to have nice things. I'm honestly shocked at how well this has worked for me! I have a tilted uterus which lead me to believe discs likely wouldn't work for me. I still need to try the two included in this kit to see if they will, but for this last cycle because life was being chaotic I decided to just go ahead and use what I knew for sure would work which was the cup. I have a light day, a medium day, and then a noah's ark kind of day, and I was really worried about how this would hold up to the flood. I was really scared that I would have a backup and then get an infection like how you can get a UTI from not going to the bathroom enough, but shockingly even when we went out, did some shopping, saw a movie, and got back home, with regular pads and tampons I would have bled through an ultra tampon and filled up my pad after all of that but the cup still had a good either inch or 3/4's of an inch at the top, it wasn't full! I was also terrified of sleeping with it, I thought for sure I was going to bleed through or just have a massive backup and end up not like the blueberry girl, but the raspberry girl instead, but I checked it first thing in the morning and same thing happened, had at least 3/4 of an inch of space at the top of it! I have also had some leaking with it, either from me moving around or from where the pull tab threads through the middle of the cup (or both?), not as much as I have had with bleeding through conventional tampons, but I am a bit bummed that I will still have to buy and wear pads or at the very least panty liners (maybe I will invest in reusable period panties...?) It's still an insane improvement, I'm sure you can gather from my review that I go through insane amounts of menstrual products, I'm sooo looking forward to the money savings from using this product!

I’m never ever going back to pads or tampons. I freaking love this thing. The first time is a little weird to use and it takes maybe 30 minutes to get used to the feeling. But you literally forget you’re even on your period. I absolutely love it.

This is a great alternative that allows you to be more active. Isn’t too hard to use and it’s comfortable once you get the hang of it. Only downside is if it’s not in exactly right it will leak.

This product is Amazing! Now I don't mind this monthly occurrence anymore. I have been a long term tampon user and gave this ago. It's so nice and flexible and soft and easy to insert. It really works. It lasts much longer than a tampon so going out and avoiding public toilets becomes a possibility. It is better for the environment too. It will last a good 10 years and replace a few thousand tampons and pads. Keep playing with the cup until you find the right spot for your body. I still use a tiny liner for those minor stains that may result from moving or running - a single toilet sheet will do the job too. After the second time I used my blood clots stopped and now the flow is so easy. I recommend the full cup for anyone. Better to wear it all day long rather than having to change half way. Customer service is excellent. If you need support just email them and they give you plenty of tips. Packaging is lovely. I have been giving them to my friends as gift to encourage better environmental footprint.

I have been using menstrual cups for over 10 years now and I absolutely couldn't imagine going back. I have one that I prefer and it's getting old and needs replacing, so I read about alternatives and I found Flex. I can't tell you how impressed I am! The stem is easy to find and very flexible. It is also moveable and helps break the seal. Other than writing an essay to explain it all. Just buy this one. you will never buy any other. Its quite literally the best menstrual cup I have ever tried by FAR and I've tried many! I would like to sincerely thank the designers on such an amazing job and making women's life easier.

Beginning with this was a bit hard. I've been using cups for over 10 years at this point and this has it's pros and cons . +It's easier to remove +It's quite easy to clean +It doesn't feel if it's inserted correctly -it's prone to leaks -if you pull it out too hard, the pulling "cord" gets stuck

I used it for one whole period. Now after the second period, the cup does not want to return to its original position. It just sits like in the pictures - no matter what I do to turn it back how it was. Maybe I am too agressive :D If this was a normal cup without the "patented stem", I could still use it, and now I have to look for a new one that won't distort. It ended up nicely in the trash, where it belongs.

I recently purchased my first ever cup and it was a traumatic experience. It made its way really high and was impossible for me to get out. I saw that this flex cup had a loop that you could pull to remove so I thought I'd give it a go. I've managed to remove it easily each time, even when it has decided to move really high. Such a relief! I've knocked a star off just because it does get a little messy during removal due to the hole. It's worth remembering that you shouldn't pull too hard as you end up pulling the plug through. Honestly though the small mess is worth it compared to the embarrassing removal I had with my first cup!
