## Description

Product description Create the tiniest town for your critter village! You're the mayor of a tiny town where the smaller woodland creatures created a civilization hidden away from predators. Resources are scarce in this new land–you take what you can and never say no to materials. Plan and construct a thriving town, and don’t let it fill up with wasted resources! Great with friends or relax at your own pace solo! The smaller creatures of the woods look to you to help them build their new town. Compete with friends to build the most efficient tiny town, or relax at your own building pace with solo mode! Whoever builds the most prosperous tiny town wins! For fans of cozy building and planning! Be the best mayor and compete to build the best “Tiny Town"! Your town is represented by a 4x4 grid, on which you will place Resource cubes in specific layouts to construct buildings. Each building scores Victory Points in a unique way. When no player can place any more resources or construct any buildings, the game ends. Create the best tiny town to win! Tiny Towns is perfect for anyone who loves puzzling through games or cute critters! Tiny idea becomes a huge accomplishment! Meet the designer of Tiny Towns-- Peter McPherson! Peter McPherson is a freelance writer and game designer from upstate New York. Tiny Towns is his first game. Tiny Towns came from his love for building systems and games with his own family. Peter McPherson is also known for his other titles, Fit to Print and Wormholes. Peter is no stranger to making fun-- he wanted to create a game with little down time and the excitement of finishing building something. We're happy to have Peter as a part of AEG's very own Tiny Town. Welcome to our game night! Take a look at some of our other best sellers! Review: Can we play it again?! - The first time I played this with my wife she immediately said "Can we play it again?!" This is quite a rare occurance, so that says something. It is very easy to learn, and quick to play. (About 15 minutes per player) I love the mechanic of using the resources in certain shapes to create the buildings for your town. The limits of the board help to make it a fun game as you try to build the best town with the resources that are given to you without painting yourself into a corner. The multiple types of each building, besides the cottage, help with replayability and keep the game interesting without making it overly complicated. The cards for each building make it easy to understand what they do, and what resources in what configuration are needed to build it. The wooden building meeples (Beeples? Muildings?) are very nice, and their colored silhouettes on each building card make it unmistakable what each is every time you play. I have played both the solo game, and the game with 2 and 3 players. I have found it to be a good game at all of these player counts. The wooden master builder hammer makes it easy to see whose turn it is to call resources, and keeps the game moving quickly. There is good natured interaction between players, and even when resources that you don't want are called, it doesn't feel like an attack, but part of the fun in figuring out the puzzle that is Tiny Towns. The solo version works well by using cards with the resources on them; first 3 are drawn, one is chosen and returned to the bottom of the draw pile, the ones you don't use are left behind for subsequent turns. This works well at imitating other players calling resources that you don't want or need. It's a good game with high quality components and interesting mechanisms, with enough player interaction to make it fun, and enough variability to keep it fun.
Review: Great little game - This game is super fun and super easy to play. The more you play the more you learn how to build a better town for the end game. My husband and I can play a game for about 30 minutes or less which is great for a two player setting. And having only two players doesn't affect the game play so we love it even more!

## Questions & Answers

**Q: "1-6" players. Does this mean a person can play alone?**
A: YES! The solo play version is REALLY GREAT!!! The solo games last about 10 to 15 minutes each, and you basically play to get a high score (they have a small chart to rate your score) and it is VERY challenging and fun. The way the cards are set up, you get a different set of challenges each time so each game is unique. I find it very diverting because the play takes full concentration and focus. Also, the game itself is so very high quality which also makes it a pleasure to play. I love to play games “anytime” in my downtime (meaning not depending on coordinating with other people) so a really well crafted solo option is really appreciated.

**Q: Where is it manufactured? Thanks**
A: Everything available on this (and every other) board game is on the BGG website (Board Game Geek). In general, I believe the publisher decides the manufacturer and is probably dependent on print run. I don’t know where this one was manufactured.

**Q: would color blind kids have hard time with this?**
A: Perhaps not. There is no resource that it is green. There is a Brick red, grey, yellow, blue, and I think that's it. Best bet is to find a picture of the resource cubes on the web, and show it to color blind kids. I'm not color blind, so I'm not a good resource to answer this question.

**Q: Can my intelligent 7 year old granddaughter learn to play and enjoy this game?**
A: Yes but keep it to 2, 3 players. The more players the less control you have, the tougher the game, it can be a brain burner, it’s somewhat a puzzle. The box says 14 plus, but if you scale it back player wise, same age players, it should be OK.
