There are six pages at the beginning: character resources; quick references for English, biology, and Math; and maps. The individual pages are a bit thin--comparable to what you would get in a lined notebook. You will need to be careful or pages will be easily torn out.Contrary to what the seller answered in a question above, the weekly spreads go from Mon, Aug 5, 2019 to Sun, Jun 28, 2020. There are no June 2019 dates at all, and the only July 2019 calendar is the small one on the side of the monthly calendar page that only tells you what day of the week each date falls -- there is absolutely no space reserved to record anything for June or July 2019. July 2020 has a full monthly spread, with small boxes for recording, but no weekly spreads. However, it does give you 11 months of weekly spreads, including spreads for traditional school breaks over Christmas, New Years, and Thanksgiving holidays.Monthly spreads are grouped two at a time, so August and September will be side by side, followed by the weekly spreads for both months. Then you'll have monthly spreads for October and November, etc. Weekly spreads are labeled with the month which ends the week (for example, April 30, 2020 is a Friday, but that weekly spread is topped with a "May" header and May colors--see picture).There is space for 8 subjects. The first seven subjects have 5 lines for recording, and the 8th subject has 4. If there is a holiday on a school day, the first line in the first subject will be partially utilized by the holiday name.Part of the reason why I ordered this was the quotes on the monthly pages, plus the weekly vocabulary words and facts. Hopefully this will help add some interest to using this book.We plan to use this for tracking our homeschool year. We tend to school year round, so I was looking for something that would be customizable to our subjects, while allowing tracking and planning those times that other schools are usually off.All in all, this is a great planner, and just what we needed. ### ⭐⭐ Poor quality control on my order *by M***. on Reviewed in the United States on August 11, 2020* We use this style of planner yearly for our homeschooling. They are great to record schoolwork and lesson plans in and also to record grades. I received my planner in a timely manner, but once I ripped open the amazon envelope I noticed that it had a big cut in it going through the back cover and through half of my planner. It looks like someone sliced it with a razor blade when unpacking stock. I didn’t even have to use a pair of scissors or anything to open the package since you can just pull the Amazon envelope right open along the perforated edge. Disappointed in the condition of the merchandise. She was very pleased with the design and colors on the inside as well as the outside.
