Update! 5 months later, this is a great little dishwasher, cleans very well, I can get a surprising amount of dishes loaded, noise level is LOW. You really can’t beat it for the price!! I’ve had this now for a couple weeks. The main reason for an 18” dishwasher was a space issue, I had a perfect spot in my 1958 original kitchen without have to remodel both lower cabinets 🤗 I did have a plumber install, it was a quick job. I am very happy with it. Noise level I consider low, have had many dishwashers over the years, Bosch, Kenmore, etc. Cleans very well, although like most dishwashers if you put the Mac n cheese casserole dish in without basically washing before hand don’t complain. Dries sufficient, I read a lot!! of reviews on different 18”dishwashers and the most common complaint was drying. This one does a more than decent job drying ( I usually don’t unload till the next day anyhow). I almost bought an $800 dishwasher and decided to save a couple hundred bucks and go with this one, I’m glad I did. I think it’s a great value for the money I would highly recommend the EdgeStar BIDW1802WH.

This dishwasher has served me well for about 5.5 years. Relatively quiet, typically washes well (as long as stuff isn't dried on). Took one star off for the error codes being impossible to clear without unplugging the machine (no easy task since its plug is behind it). I will say, it has been displaying those error codes more often in the last couple of months and based on the loud noise coming from the machine, I think the pump is going out.

We purchased this size for our summer home. We did not have enough space for a regular size dishwasher and shopped everywhere for a smaller size. This was the best value and we could actually obtain it within days. The other purchase options from Lowes, Home Depot, etc. for this size were very limited, way more expensive and would have taken months to receive. It arrived in great condition, excellent packing, we installed it ourselves without any problems and it works great. We were concerned about the interior space, would the blades hit the plates, would it clean the dishes as well, what would the noise level be, would we be able to put a sufficient amount of dishes and silverware in the smaller unit, etc. It has surpassed our expectations. We recommended our friend purchase one for his cabin after using it for a month with no issues.

This dishwasher does NOT dry the dishes. On its very first use, it started with the LSB error code found in the users manual indicating a “rinse aid” meaning it will run with low or no rinse aid, but rinsing and drying results will suffer. Much like the other reviews about the drying capabilities of this dishwasher are correct. It does not dry dishes. It will only clean them and leave them dripping wet with water. Much like the other reviews this dishwasher also leaks at the main port where the hot water cable goes into the machine. I had my friend install it who is a plumber so I know it was done correctly. Luckily Amazon is giving me a full refund . I would not buy it again and I will not buy anything from Edge Star in the future.

We have a 1950’s 800sqft home that doesn’t have enough space for a full size dish washer. However, with two small kids, we learned we couldn’t hand wash dishes and keep up. It was overwhelming. Even though this doesn’t fit as much as a full size, it still makes a huge difference for us. I still end up hand washing larger items but that’s manageable. It’s quiet. Not super quiet, but quiet. It does take about 2 hours to run a full regular cycle which I feel is a bit longer than I remember when I’ve had dishwashers in the past. We have had it about 9 months now and have yet to have any issues with it at all. Rarely do we have to rewash anything because it didn’t come clean. Highly recommended.

I decided to wait several months before I wrote a review. I use this every other day. The dishwasher has exceeded my expectations. I don’t run it until it’s totally full of dishes and silverware and then I use the heavy setting and click sanitize. Everything comes out clean and spotless. I highly recommend it.

This little jewel is wonderful. Quiet , gets fisher clean. Easy to use.
