I didn't like how it constantly switched from one paragraph of what she was thinking to what he was thinking.I like when it defines the characters in different chapters. Like one chapter talks about thinking then the next chapter talks about what he's thinking. I think the pacing of the story was well done, even though, it was a bit rushed at the end which sort of threw me off only because it was already flowing beautifully.Julia, a woman in her thirties, is finally coming out of her life of solitude, and making a play for romance. But the poor woman, has it in her head, that in order to get the romance going, she needs to be deflowered and taught how to pleasure in order to cause no dissapointment in a future romance. So of course, an escort service is mentioned, and the idea strikes a cord in her that she carries through.She didn't need an escort service to be deflowered or taught the arts of good sex, but Julia has such a low self-esteem, that in part, I understood. Being a bigger woman is society is still critisized, but I felt like she kept blaming her father for it in that underhanded way, even though in no way did it seem like he imprisoned her from the things she said.I suppose shs came to her decision so she wouldn't have to deal with jerks that would put her down furthur. Money many times buys "kindness", but I felt like she put herself down so much that no one ever have to say a word or look at her, for her to feel that way. That annoyed me to no end. Luckily, she's a sweetheart and won me over in other ways.Courtney (Court) is a construction worker who does well and gets caught up in his brother's shenanigans, when Cal can't appear for his meeting with Juia. Court begrudgingly takes his place, and falls for our sweet Julia and her curves. Court is down to earth and a perfect gentlemen. I loved him. He was patient with Julia and did his best to empower her self image, which is an amazing trait that his brother seemed to lack. I found it hilarious when he hit his brother, after finding out what the trouble he hadn't gotten himself too and his shameless begging to Julia.I felt these character's connection was well done, even though the romance stemmed from an exchange of money for sexual services. Romance can develop from any situation and that is always a pleasure to see. The sex scenes were perfectly written. I loved that Gray kept her focus on these two, rather than run amuck with secondary character's like many writer's tend to do lately. I wish the story had been a bit longer. It would have been nice to see how Julia and Cal regarded each other after his plea for money.
