🎮 Gear Up for Glory in Gears of War: Judgment!
Gears of War: Judgment is a prequel to the acclaimed Gears of War trilogy, featuring Kilo Squad's battle against a new Locust threat. With innovative multiplayer modes, a Smart Spawn System, and cooperative gameplay for up to four players, it offers a fresh and challenging experience for both new and veteran players.

A quality Gears game
Yes, They do change a lot of things from Gears of War 3: Horde mode is now limited to 10 waves, which are quite long and feature a variety of tough enemies, and you are given numerous chances to beat it - You have to protect E-holes and if one gets destroyed, You restart said wave at another hole some where else on the map. You no longer tap the D pad to change weapons, Instead you press the Y button. Even though it's weird to go through 3 Gears games with that and no longer have it, It's very easy to get use to and I have no problems with it. The graphics are a huge step up and the game play is still a heck of a lot of fun. Plenty of replay value in the campaign due to collectibles, which off some interesting back story. Online is, as always, great and a ton of fun. I play co-op often and can't get enough of it. Mind you the campaign is a prequel that centers around Baird and Cole, before they join up with Marcus and Dom in Gears 1, so that may throw some people off. Still, Judgment, even though it changes a few key things, offers a lot to die hard Gears fans and it's definitely worth buying.

GAME OF THE YEAR?
long time Gears player, as well as my wife. We where excited to hear about this 4th installment / Prequel to the franchise. for every one out there yes you herd me right, Wife. lol she loves playing FPS as well, since this game came into the house, Halo4 went out the window! it was a good hold over for Gears: Judgement. me and my wife arent the perfect couple in the world we have some hardships but nothing terribly major and playing GEARS helped us through our troubled times. So there is a little history to the Gears games and us. NOW! FAST PACED ACTION what i mean is Loud, Hardcore, Aggressive and pulse pounding! we have played it several times over getting all of the declassified mission parts, & cog tags, the new S3 or Smart Spawn system will kick your teeth in! always something different in combat and thats one of the best parts of the game! keeps it fresh. playing the trial and aftermath are amazing! several Easter Eggs to find mostly visuals and sorts, will keep you looking around each and every environment there is. but remember watch out for Grubs they can getcha when your not looking. with familiar controls its easy to get into the game and just play, really no need for a manual as the game didnt come with one (Digital Down Loads suck) but if your a seasoned GEARS Vet like me and my Wife are its fast and easy to pick up and go get some Grubs. Played the Overrun Demo cant wait for it to go active it is AWESOME as well fast and team orientated it is a BLAST to play in CO-OP kind of the key to the game as this GEARS game is heavy on Team Players is one of the best things this time around as with the other games you could run off and take care of your business and move on, this time you really depend on the team to pull through to the end of each mission. my wife was Thrilled to see the Young Dom (Character Skin) as he is a gears favorite for her besides Anya & Sofia. we cant wait for the other DLCs and yes we are getting the Season Pass to add more items to our collection. Exclusive DLCs will be 90 days of course but with the items from Amazon, they where epic enough to get us started as well as the treasure hunt and such. lol we have gotten Anya, Dom, Spider Web & Paintball skins too. There is how ever one Frighteningly shocking revelation in this game that leads to the Question... How did the Grubs get a Queen? Play AFTERMATH no Spoilers here! play it to put it together... man i wanna tell all of you so badly but i cant lol Sorry! All in all this is as fun as it gets with Gears what we hoped GOW2 would have been and what we wanted GOW3 to be this one is it, really a Fave out of all 4. worth the buy if you like FPS and or are a Gears Fan this is a must have!

Another excellent entry in the Gears of War series!
Not sure why some people are going crazy with the low scores. Maybe they haven't actually played a game that deserved a 1 out of 10 (see Aliens: Colonial Marines)? It's sad that so many people go out of their way to bad mouth a game when really they meant it just didn't quite meet their unrealistic expectations, or worse, they are a fan boy from Sony or Call of Duty, etc. It makes it very difficult for people that were on the fence to wade through the BS to see if a game is ACTUALLY worth their money and time. I'll begin by saying that I have played and loved the original Gears of War trilogy. I felt as though the campaign got better with each game as did the multiplayer. I have been playing many hours of this latest entry in the series and can confirm that it is excellent. The story, controls, graphics, levels, everything. It really is a triple A title. I'm sorry that so many people can't just sit back and enjoy a great game.

What did they do to gears?
-Campaign review- The rest of the review is for the multiplayer but I gave the campaign a try and here's my review. So far iv really been enjoying the campaign. I hated gears 3 story, didn't find it interesting at all but something is different in this one. For some reason almost everything missing from multiplayer is in the single player. You can tag walls with grenades, execute locust, damage boost from drive reload which is all great and I hope they add this stuff back online. So far iv played a few missions and for the most part iv liked them, but they are very very repedative. It seems they have added a horde type segment to each mission where you have to hold off the locust for a few waves which brings back good memories. I also very much like these declassified missions which are a extra challenge to each extra xp, for example can only use pistoles, or the map is filled with smoke and you can't see well. Another thing I like is the voice acting. It reminds me of max Payne 3 for some reason. How your playing and you character is taking in the background. The whole story is kind of weird and cool. Your playing memories and telling the leader of the cog what you did during your mission Ina court since your team disobeyed orders or something. It's new, and and I like how different missions you play as different characters which give a cool insight to your squad. Overall it's really good and I like it a lot. Took me 6-8 hours to beat(can't really remember exact time) -Aftermath review- Anyone who doesn't know aftermath is an additional mission that takes place during gears of war 3. Sounds great, but it doesn't feel like gears 3. New weapons and enemies that are in judgment campaign are in aftermath which is really stupid. But you will see some old locust though. Well after math isn't long, took me about an hour to beat, -Multiplayer review- I have been really excited for this game for a while. I loved gears 2 and 3 but this game isn't the same at all. I guess epic thought since it was a prequel you can take out basically everything that gears is and restart. Well that doesn't work First I will list what they took out or changed from gears 3. -active reloads no longer give your bullets more damage if you hit it at the right time- this was a great thing in the gears franchise. I loved active reload. It was unlike anything in any other games so why take it out? -no more rifle-shotgun duo- maybe this is for the better but I don't know. I did like having a shotgun and a rifle in the same set up. When your far away use a rifle, when your up close whip out the shotty but it was overpowered. I won't ever use a shotty anymore -limited character selection- You start off with 4 characters to use online, and can only unlock 5 others! So only 9 fricken characters to choose from? -no more mandatory winding up grenades- Why the heck would you take this out? -spawn with frag grenades- This isn't call of duty! You shouldn't spawn with frags! -maps are so congested and small now- I loved the style of gears 3 maps but these maps are not good. Way too many narrow hallways and alleys. Also there's a map where you fly around the map in a fricken helicopter shooting a mini gun. Who thought this was a good idea? -no more reviving team mates- Yup, you no longer fall to the ground and bleed out or get revived. You die automatically. -only three fricken game modes and four maps! Team deathmatch, domination and deathmatch and 4 multiplayer maps! That's it! What the heck! -no more sticking grenades to walls- Why take this out? I used to get tons of kills with doing this. -Environment weapons are overpowered- Can use rifles and shotguns while hiding behind boom shields? Please tell me how that's fair? -no more locust vs humans- Why? Just why? I don't want to kill humans. The whole gears of war franchise is based on gears vs locust!! -it's nothing new- Besides a few new guns, there's really nothing new at all. Heck even the fricken menu layout is exactly the same, the awards and ribbon system is exactly the same as well. To me it feels like epic doesn't care what gears fans like or wanted. It really feels like they wanted to please call of duty fans, and make it more like cod. It's sad to say but it's true. Graphics-8/10 Some people say it looks a ton better than gears3 but it really doesn't. Gameplay-7.5 They changed gears so much that it doesn't play like gears any more, Sound-7.5/10 Everything sounds exactly the same as gears 3. Multiplayer-7/19 Limited modes and reduced functions make online a lot less fun and competitive like older gears were. Campaign-9/10 Maybe the saving grace of the game. I really loved it and thought it was special. Overall-7.5 Its just not true to its roots. It's just plain boring and it already feels old since there's only 4 maps online, and all the features we have come to love are missing,

New Feel, Still Great
Gear of War: Judgement makes some changes to the original formula that in general help to to streamline the game without taking away from it. Weapon and grenades controls are simpler with the RB button for grenades and Y button to switch between weapons of which you can only hold two now. So no more accidentally selecting a pistol when you want your big guns out. The story unfolds as a framed-tale, a flash-back P.O.V. story told by Baird, Cole, and some new faces. The story is good as any Gears game. But what makes the story fun is the Declassified modifiers. The gameplay is separated into encounters at the end of which you get a star ratings. Another fun change are the Declassified story modifiers for each encounter. These can range from time limits to more enemies to blurred vision to pistols and are explained by the story should you choose to use them. As a note on story, the big baddie this time is a little disappointing and definitely not as memorable as Raam or Skorge. Sadly, there is no Horde Mode in Judgement. It is instead replaced by Survival. In this mode player work together to defend E-hole covers and generators. Each time one is destroyed by the Locust, players are pushed back to the next one. To win the players must last 10 waves against the Locust. What makes the new mode fun is the introduction of a class system: medic, engineer, scout, and soldier. Each one has a separate weapons loadout and a specialty grenade (the engineer's is a turret). This mode also replaces Beast Mode in the form of Overrun, where teams take turns playing as the Cogs or Locust. The game is many ways just doesn't feel quite as "big" as the other Gears games, but at the same time the small changes make if feel much more slick and it feels really good. If you are a Gears fan (and even if you aren't) definitely do not pass this one up.

I JUST LOVE IT!!!!!
People complain about this game because is really different from the others, but i think thats really te point of a game, you alredy have played gears saga... do you still want to play the same thing???? like i say i just love this game!!!! is faster!!! louder!!! and lots lots of bullets!! overrun is by far one of the best games i have ever player, ppl think that horde is not longer available but it is and is called survival, only 10 waves but believe me very fun to beat! the new character armor love it! the graphics of the game really amazing!!! i just have 1 complain about it... the gnasher on overrun is slower and you have to shoot 2 times to kill someone, and if you kill the tickers in front of you u dont get any damage. If you really love gears of war you will also love this game, download the demo and check it out for free!

Great addition to the Gears series
This is a great prequel to the Gears story and plenty of fun. If you like the gameplay of the Gears series, you will probably like this game. The story is decent and the game flows as well as the others. There's good replay value and tons of score points to earn. You can also earn Stars which, after 40, will unlock an extra campaign chapter titled Aftermath. Aftermath is a side story that goes along with the GOW3 storyline. Throughout Judgment, you switch players as each individual tells their story of what happened. Your main character is Baird though and you even get to play as a younger, and less cocky, Cole. Each character is equally fun to play as. In each mission you also have the choice to play the regular version or the 'Declassified' version, which will limit time, weapons, etc., and help you gain Stars more quickly. I played the missions about half and half. Some of the Declassified versions were a little too hard for my taste but more hardcore gamers will love the challenge. Overall, there's enough here to satisfy any Gears fans, unless they're just too nit-picky. For me, this is not quite as good as GOW3 but right up there with GOW2, and more fun than the original. The price isn't too bad now, as well, so I suggest you give it a shot.

Almost perfect...I love it
Excellent game, the campaign mode it's awesome now you'll need to change strategy to survive the locust hordes. The declassified mission feature content it's a great addition, giving more replay value to the game. The new weapons are cool and different. The multiplayer it's as always engaging and fun. It's a little awkward at first, now you only can choose between COG characters. The new maps are awesome, beautiful designed and more complex. It's missng the horde mode with the overrun instead, this one I haven't playing enough I'm kinda loving an hating it. If you don't like change, don't buy it but if you are up to expand your Gears experience go a get it.

Es un buen título
Las mecánicas son diferentes a todos los otros juegos de gears, haciéndolo un poco más genérico, sin embargo, siento es que un buen título, revela aspectos interesantes de la franquicia y es divertido.
