Plug it in, start your car, and it starts recording. But it has two big flaws that I just can't get over regarding using it as a dash camera.The first one is, it is not a "Ultra-wide-angle Lens". I drive a Ram 1500 which as a really tall hood, meaning I can't see much street directly in front of my truck. With this camera I am not able to get the edge of my truck hood and the traffic light all in frame when sitting at a light. To me that is a huge flaw because if I get a green light and need to start entering the intersection but someone runs a red light and hits me, I won't have any proof that the light is green. I could tilt the angle to include the traffic light but then the bottom of the video wouldn't have enough information to see what would need to be seen.The second biggest flaw is the screen resolution. I had mine set on 1080p and even in sunny day light when light is not an issue, the quality of the video is pretty bad. In testing, I wasn't able to get a license plate number in ideal lighting and then testing at night was even worst. This in my opinion is a huge deal, I don't expect GoPro quality video from something costing $20. Battery Life goes from Full Charge to 0% in under 2 mins Max. When recording I notice the video is very shaky.
