The JKS-1AEDV audio/video intercom set for a single door includes a vandal-resistant surface-mount door station with camera, a master station with LCD screen and picture recording, and a power supply to enable remote communication and visual identification of visitors prior to authorizing access to the building. The door station includes a 1/4" color camera with 170-degree wide-angle view that sends live video feed to a master station when a visitor presses the call button, and the white LED illuminates the visitor area to brighten the video feed in low-light environments. Up to 240 screen images can be recorded either manually using the record button or automatically when an incoming call from the door station is received. An incoming call activates the display on the master station's 3-1/2" LCD color monitor to aid visitor identification. The audio and video feed from the door station continues to transmit to the master station for 45 seconds if the call is not answered.The master station answers a call by either holding down the answering button for push-to-talk action or by tapping the button for hands-free communication with the caller. The video monitor controls allow panning, tilting, and zooming of the door station's camera to customize the master operator's view of the entrance. The door-release button works with an electric strike (sold separately) to remotely unlock the entrance for the visitor. The call button initiates audio communication with a connected sub-master station (sold separately) for remote communication. The monitor button can be pressed at any time to listen and receive video feed from the door station. The chime and audio volume on the master station is adjustable. The door station is weather-and vandal-resistant cast zinc with a clear polycarbonate lens cover, and it surface mounts directly to a wall or to a single-gang box with MKW-P plate (sold separately). Good Product
Good product. Used for a Vehicle traffic entrance. Speaker Volume is not loud enough if the driver leaves the car running, and there is no way to add an external speaker. taking with the manufacturer I would have to send it in for them to modify with a bigger speaker with no guaranty that it will be loud enough.

Works as advertised, very pleased
Very easy to install. The video quality is good if the subject is within a few feet of the camera. The microphone is very sensitive and can hear sounds several yards away. I installed this at our church to provide additional security for the secretary. When the outside button is pressed a chime alerts the secretary to look at the video monitor to see who is there. I did not use the door contact functionality, but it appears to be simple to use as well. I would definitely recommend this product for anyone looking for an entryway video intercom system.

Nice features.
The two wire install was easy. I like how you can zoom, pan and tilt. I wish the camera settings would stay in the optimal position for my application. Instead it defaults back to factory setting after each use (straight ahead). The door bell is loud enough for my hard of hearing father to notice.

Absolutely fantastic, high quality product
Absolutely fantastic, high quality product, works perfectly well. Although I installed the camera unit 10 inches next to my door looking stright forward, however I am able to see everything across, end-to-end thanks to the amazing panorama-like wide view, this is even without using the pan tilt and zoom fearure. In my old unit I had to install the camera physically titled towards the door side to be able to barely see who is in front of the door but not exactly in front of the camera. This manufacturer offers a wide verity of options and configurations to suit several setups, I would advise to read the manual of all components and the wiring diagrams before buying to understand what you will get and what you will exactly need.

Well built and well designed
I purchased this with the Aiphone JK-1HD Audio/Video Sub-Master Station. All components are well built and easy to physically install. The outdoor unit has a metal case and is designed to withstand the weather. All components are mounted with brackets to which the main components are attached, greatly simplifying the mounting and reducing the chances of damaging the main components during installation. My installation was simplified by using this as a replacement for an old NuTone audio intercom that failed. I was able to reuse all of the wiring that had been run for that. Both audio and video quality are great and the controls are easy to use. The zoom/dezoom and pan features on the camera allow us to see who is at the door even though the camera is mounted over a foot to the side of the door. One factor in deciding to use the Aiphone system is that it supports direct audio communication between the master and the sub-master station, allowing it to be used as both a front door video phone and an internal intercom.
