Been using these for years without issue
We were tired of batteries leaking over time and the inability to use certain things like battery operated lights and decorations without running up battery expense, so we move to rechargeable. These have worked great. Moving to rechargeable is an investment. We don’t want to cheap out on batteries we intend to invest in for years of used and risk they were poorly made or by a manufacturer that was less than trustworthy. There are plenty of Consumer Product Safety Commission reports of various batteries starting fires to scare you away from no name manufacturers. These do the job. We’ve only had one out of probably a hundred or more cease working. We have used them in many applications, from toys and games to remote controls to outdoor lights that have been set out in -20 winter conditions. They have always worked. As to size, they are AA as stated. They might be a fraction of an inch larger in diameter than a non-rechargeable, but I’d have to get out my calipers to check for sure. It’s never caused an issue, I just know that a couple of times it seemed like one of them fight tighter in something than old standard batteries. As to power output, they seem to have less than standard batteries, but that’s offset by just being able to recharge them. I wish they packed more into them for longer life, but in the end it’s not a big issue. As to charging, we have the brand’s one hour rapid chargers, which they seem to have discontinued. That’s a shame because they really did charge in 1 hour, and you could charge anywhere from 1-4 at a time. They should bring that charger back or replace it with an upgraded similar one. The 4 battery plug-in one that plugs directly into an outlet and has a large light that glows red or green for charging indication and that they sell most often takes forever to charge. We also have a very large 4 battery unit that charges up to D-Cell and that one is in the middle, not taking just an hour, but about half the time of the other charger. I tend to charge all of my batteries not in use twice a year as they will dissipate charge slowly, so that’s a small effort in comparison to all the work to fix electronics that were damaged by leaking batteries.

Energizer Rechargeable Lifestyle. Join NOW!
You should join the lifestyle, its not a tabu, it works. I won't get technical, just give you the experience, simple and practical. ADVANTAGES + Save money recharging this batteries + Will last longer than regular disposable batteries, depends on what you are using it though. + Save more money with indirect costs, just recharge, reuse, taking a few steps inside your home or office. (going to the store and purchase batteries for example) + Pollute less, you will throw them away after 2 years aprox (if you care). + The Energizer charger will charge at the same time AAA and AA. SUGGESTIONS + Buy good brand, like Energizer (best). + The greatest the number on the mAh (stands for miliampere, or AH ampere), the better for you, one charge will last longer in your device. + Mark your batteries with a permanent marker so you check how many years they lasted before you threw them. + Buy the 15 minute charger from Energizer: I use the 15 minute charger, so get batteries recharged almost immediately and they last the same 2 years aprox. Would Energizer sell the 15 minute charger if it will damage your batteries? More than 4 years using it, no problem. CONS - Sad when you put them in the charger and you realize they are needed to be thrown away (blinking red charger). - Batteries are expensive, it is a psychological cons, they really work great and make me save money, so I have only the needed amount, because of the price-trick that is pulled inside our head. EXPERIENCE = 4+ years of daily use in over 100 different battery operated tech = 10+ Engineering degree / field experience

Saves money
These batteries seem to be able to be recharged endlessly. I still have some I purchased over a decade ago (with the charger) that still work great. Better for then environment than disposable batteries, and saves money. I only buy rechargeable batteries now.

Best For cameras
These batteries purchased these to replace the same ones that have powered a camera for 5 years. They were just beginning to not hold the charge, but have been excellent and I don't think that 5 years use is bad, and can't run the risk of having no life in them at crucial moments. Old ones still useful as back up.
