Review: Good Product - Easy to assemble and well built. I’m using it with a 14” Bauer bandsaw. I’ve only used it once so far to cut/rip a pecan log (about 6” in diameter) from a dead tree in my yard. It performed exactly as it was supposed to. Flattened two sides, then used my rip fence to rip the boards. I have several more pecan logs to rip from the same tree. I will also be receiving some oak logs in the near future. This product will be getting a lot of use in the future. Having watched many, many very positive YouTubes, I was put off by the amount of assembly taunting me. Finally, I needed it for a project, and I rolled up my sleeves. First of all, the instructions are excellent. There is absolutely not that much to put together, it becomes intuitive, and it works so well, my whole yard instantly became a free Home Depot lumber section. This thing is great, it’s not scary, and it’s worth every penny. You need a much greater than 4 inch bandsaw. I have the Rikon 13 inch. Then, just go to work. It has length limits. You can floor your basement. It will just take you 32 years. But, boy it would be fun. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Strengths and Weaknesses *by N***L on August 25, 2023* Update, I added two flared collar, knurled head thumb screws, makes faster changeouts of back support, plus not having to keep track of pesky washers. Works great. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Just opened and assembled, so these are my first impressions (although I don't actually do impressions, I am a woodworker) Strengths: - Easy to assemble - The fence and most metal components are top quality, strong, heavy; as I have seen in most Carter products Weaknesses: - The obvious quality built into almost all the metal parts is a direct contradiction to the sled itself. The platform is pressboard, which I hope will withstand the rigors of use. It is lightweight, not very thick, and might not last. Time will tell. - The metal end piece's 2 screw holes were boogered and I had to get out my tap and die set to rebore. The screws holding this piece to the fence fit well now.
