I bought this to be able to connect my Jabra USB headset to my smartphone as well - it did not work, it detects momentarily and then the connection disappears.

When my latest laptop arrived without any USB-A ports, I tried so many adapters, docking stations, extenders and not one of this works with my headsets and Jabra speaker. At whit's end I got on the Jabra website to see if their accessories came with USB-C ends and found this $11 adapter. It works !!!! Looking closely, this is a tight end-to-end size with USB 3.0 capability. Cannot say how happy I am to finally find something that I can now use with everything with my new laptop. Highly recommended. If only they had a multi-port adapter, I could have more USB port that actually work...
