Illuminoil

My wife wishes to share with you: "Unfortunately this arrived in a oily mess as the top was not securely fixed to the bottle. Having tightened the lid, and it easily screwed up and didn't leak again, after I washed the oil off and it looked like about 1 cm was lost. The dispenser releases a suitably small amount and is controllable. The smell is wonderful, and you only need a little bit so it should last quite a while. On my long bob of curly hair the additional shine was evident, but I'd only call it average at controlling frizziness. The cream product I'd been using previously was more effective at about two thirds of the price. Update: Packed this for travel and the lid came loose again, so arrived to find most of contents of bag gooey. Not good."

Love this product , its literally gold in a bottle. I am the type of person that leaves the house with one hairstyle and comes home with another...abit of mist and I know it is going to be a bad hair day ! However, this product has helped tame my frizz, whilst it hasn't cured it, my hair is smooth and silky and seems more manageable. The product can be used pre blowdry and post dry as finishing product, it is light and not greasy unlike some serums. It also smells gorgeous , its not a bargain buy but a must buy !

Smells nice, only a small amount required and leaves hair lovely and soft without weighing it down. I've docked a star because it's very expensive, but a little goes a long way so it's probably quite long lasting.

Me and this did not get on at all. Firstly, the top came off in the post, so the whole vial was covered in the liquid which is incredibly slippery and resistant to being wiped off with tissues, towels, you name it. So using it is like trying to handle an eel (and I should know, I've handled an eel). I have a major problem with frizzing right now, as I cut my hair short a while ago and the recent heat/humidity makes my fringe flick up in an unattractive fashion. I really hoped this product would help, but it didn't - it just made bits of the fringe stick together, like eyelashes stuck together with gloopy mascara. So then I tried applying in the morning, after a brief towel-dry and before a brief blow-dry - but it didn't stop the frizzing and if anything, made my hair look greasy. Perhaps it's the thinness of my hair, in which case I can't recommend this for other people afflicted with thin hair. And if you're lucky enough not to have thin hair... I still can't recommend it.

This is a really pleasant to use, versatile product that has given me good results when blow drying, leaving my very fine, straight, fly away hair well tamed and soft. Illuminoil isn't a standard oil, but a clear gel-oil formulation, which makes it easy to dispense a small amount accurately from the elegant gold topped pump dispenser. It can be used sparsely on dry hair to flatten down early morning and wet weather frizz. It can also be used on towel dried hair to prevent frizz from blow drying or as an intensive wash out conditioner when left on for ten minutes following shampooing. Its final suggested use is as an overnight treatment for dry hair and itchy scalps, with a particular recommendation for use on scalps irritated by colour treatment. I followed the instructions not to rub it in to the scalp but to apply it sparsely just to lengths and ends. This was most easily done by rubbing it between palms and fingers and running those through my hair from mid length to tips. The key word is sparsely. I used an amount about the size of a large pea rubbed over my palms on my chin length hair, and this was plenty. This does make it quite economical to use. What I really like about this and the reason for the five stars is that it is so pleasant to apply, not a sticky yellow argan oil treatment, but a lovely clear gel oil that melts on to the hands and hair so easily. It is supplied in a very stylish box, a suggestion is to keep it in the box, as the instructions printed on the box are much easier to read than the instructions printed on the bottle. These are my initial impressions of the product, but I can't see them changing. If you've had disappointing results from hair oils that either left you weighed down and greasy or looking untouched, this may be just what you need. Costly, but for its versatility and ease of use, probably worth it.

Where has this been all my life?! I love hair products. I've tried serums and oils before but have shied away from Morroconoil for fear of it leaving my fine hair weighed down or looking greasy. So, I can't compare it to the big boy of hair oils and...i think this product is fantastic. A tiny pea-sized amount worked through damp hair before roughly blow drying left my locks silky smooth and feeling conditioned. No fluff or frizz (I have straight hair but an annoying halo of fluff appears usually after blow drying, even if I use mousse or serum). Happy days. After styling, an even smaller dollop smoothed over mid-length and ends finished my hair off and tamed and stubborn strands. I had the shiny smooth look I get usually only after a visit to the hairdresser. Again, it didn't feel weighed down (in fact, the opposite, it seemed more voluminous). A couple of days on and my hair still feels smooth and soft. This bottle will last an AGE so is great value if you look at it that way. It looks stylish in its clear glass bottle and gold coloured cap. The pump only dispenses a tiny amount so it's easy to make sure you don't waste any. The oil has a lemony scent (unfortunately it reminds me of a bathroom cleaner I use but it is pleasant). Last but not least, this company does not test on animals and the ingredients list is respectably small and not bursting with chemicals. Of course everybody's hair is different and one person's miracle is another person's horror, but my fine (but plentiful) hair suited this perfectly.

Very rich and gently fragranced product. Very good of your hair is very dry and you use it after washing and then rinse However when I use it as a leave in when blow drying it leaves my hair rather limp.

Just started using this after a friend recommended. Have used when blow drying and after and hair feels like silk and super shiny. Love it
