What is height from center of door lock hole to top of push button portion? I need less then or equal to 4 inches or it interferes with my deadbolt.

You can't use this with standard deadbolt spacing. I have it on my garage door with no deadbolt. Kwikset 913 is the deadbolt version of this that I got for my front door. Handles can go on either side of the door but you will need to adjust the internal mechanism for right handed or left handed doors. The screw hole always has to be facing to the ground. Otherwise you will not be able to tighten the outside lever which also requires you turn the key 1/4 clockwise.

If the lock is activated, will the interior handle turn? My pet opens doors with lever handles.

Ha, yes the interior handle will turn to unlock the door as intended. If your pet is able to open doors, you'll need to find a smart lock with a different type/style of handle.

When the door is locked is the inside handle stationary? We would like to keep children in our house.

No. This is a fire hazard and is illegal for the same reason as double cylinder deadbolts. I got a security chain and put it at the top of the door where my kids can't reach.
