Excellent guitar, but may need some set up.
This is an excellent guitar, great sound, and feel, and I love the set neck. Feels just like a neck through guitar.A few things to note is the neck is fairly thick so it might not be great for someone with small hands. Also when it came in I noticed a significant amount of fret buzz while playing. Turns out the neck had back bow in it, so I took it in to get the truss Rod adjusted. But if you can get the set up figured out I would highly recommend buying this one.

Just So Nice I Bought It Twice...
I had this guitar in the black finish about 6 years ago and fell in love with it the very second I played it at Guitar Center (I was intimidated by 7 strings as I was still trying to learn 6 but I took the plunge and it felt so natural to me that I bought it on the spot). Unfortunately, I would up selling it just to buy food 2 years later as I was flat broke with no luck getting a job at all here in New York City. Well, I saved up and bought it's cousin in the Cherry finish and it's the same feeling of love all over again. Still love the EMG 707TW coil tapped pickups based off the EMG 85's (for 6 strings) with a great warm tone with a bit of mid to it (regardless if it's clean or distorted on either bridge or neck though I would probably only do neck with clean unless you fiddle around with your amp's settings first) but I might change it to Duncan's (if not bareknuckle) just to try something different. Still has easy access to the battery compartment on the back of the guitar for a very very simple drop in/pull out 9-Volt batteries. All in all, worth every penny that I saved over a very very long period of time.

Couldn't be happier
Awesome guitar with an amazing look and sound. I love the punchy mid-range I'm able to get from these pickups. Tuning stability has been good and out of the box intonation was almost spot on. I put new strings on right away that were different from those that came installed, so I can't blame the seller or manufacturer for it needing a few initial adjustments. It was delivered ahead of schedule and packed very well.

My first 7-string, wonderful sound to it
So this guitar has an amazing heavy sound to it, but I think I may need a bass amp or a stack/cabinet amp for it. It didn't play too well on my cheap combo amps. On my blackstar ht-500 combo it sounded great. While played cleanly it provides a really nice crunchy tone. Plays some funk riffs and chords really well. I highly recommend this guitar for use in any genre, it just has great sound.

One solid guitar
Where do I start with this... First off I should say if you're considering buying this guitar, there are a few things you should know. One, the neck is pretty thick, too thick for someone with small hands, and thicker than most guitars out there. So I advise you to try it out somewhere before buying. If you like the neck size, this guitar is amazing value. Feels/sounds/plays great. The EMG 707 pickups are good enough for the average guy, but you might consider swapping them out, in which case I recommend the Dimarzio CL/L combo, sounds amazing this guitar.Came setup perfectly, didn't have to adjust anything. The string thru body was a nice option for me after dealing with a Floyd Rose for years. Stays in tune very well, easy and fun to play, good sound. I've had it for about 5 months now and haven't played played my other guitars that much at all, can't put this one down!DEFINITELY try out this guitar or another similar Schecter with the same neck size to get a feel for it, after that, BUY IT!

Schecter never disappoints!
Ive owned the black version of the hellraiser c-7 since 2005. Since then i have purchased 2 more schecter guitars. Schecter has never disappointed me. The hellraiser series looks and sounds amazing. I recommend this and other schecter guitars very highly!
