Twenty

Boyz II Men is one of my favorites of all time, and sadly they have been in limbo in the US for so long. This, along with their last couple CDs have been Japan-only releases but if you try enough you can find a US vendor to get one for you. I thought their last couple CDs were a bit lacking overall, but this one makes up for it in a way. They have been trying so hard to re-establish themselves as a trio since Michael McCrary just won't come back to the group, and now it appears they are done trying.This CD has a few good tracks that brings back the days of REAL R&B when it got more mainstream play. "More Than You'll Ever Know", "Refuse To Be The Reason", and "One More Dance" among others stood out for me in terms of having that old school Boyz II Men sound that I fell in love with all those years ago. That's more than I can say for the last couple CDs that barely made my songs list on iTunes and didn't really make my playlists at all.The second CD is kind of a homage to the classic songs they have, likely since this CD is named "Twenty" to commemorate their 20th year in the business, but instead of just giving us another re-recording, they sung these as a trio, as some of the songs have a marked difference in performance (in a good way). I think this is more of them just accepting themselves as a trio, which is further evidenced by how the CD insert paints McCrary's exit from the group in a much more negative light than what is publicly known...it makes me want to know the real story, but we may never get that until these guys retire.

I have always loved Boyz II Men and one of my favorite songs has become "More Than You'll Ever Know" because of my relationship with my husband. The meaning and the words are perfect. This cd is wonderful - perfect price - arrived earlier than stated and in absolute perfect condition. Thank you.

I purchased this album because I have been a fan of Boyz II Men since I was 7 years old. I am now 24 years old, and they have not disappointed me with this musical effort. My favorite tracks are So Amazing, Believe, Put Some Music On, One More Dance, and One Up for Love. Basically I LOVE the whole album. I really love the re-records as well. They take me back to when I was a little girl when I first heard their music. Twenty was worth every penny!!!! Thanks Nathan, Wanya, and Shawn for 20 years of quality music!!!!

I ordered this C.D. after hearing "more that you'll ever know" featuring Charlie Wilson and I must admit that I was not dissapointed. On a scale of 1-10 I would rate this C.D. a 7. I really like the slow tracks like "slowly" and "will you be there", which is my favorite track on the disc. But there are also some misses on tracks like "one more dance" and "put some music on".But the fellas sound very good vocally on the whole disc.

When it comes to Boyz II Men, there is nothing but classiness that I have come to expect from them and the work they put out. I know this is just a compilation of alot of previous tracks, but just listening to them and actually hearing what they are singing about brings back plenty of memories from my younger days. If I knew then what I know now.....Love the music from these group of gentlemen.

Absolute classic of New and old goodies

After seeing Boyz II Men in Vegas for my birthday in July, I immediately bought the bundle Twenty, Love and Collide CD's. Great lyrical content, just like what I grew up on. So glad they have maintain their integrity to real music. Well done!

I love Boys to men anyway. Unfortunately Cd never arrived.! Seller was very good. In the end I had a refund.

Received in broken condition. One cd badely scratched not playing. Total waste.

Wer Boyz II Men mag, wird nicht unzufrieden sein. Klasse Sänger mit klasse Liedern, auch wenn es nicht unbedingt nötig war, die alten Lieder nochmal zu vertonen und eine Doppel CD dafür herauszubringen.

voila le nouveau boyz 2 men et que dire a aprt que les 3 chanteurs non rien perdu toujours autant d'energie apres 20 ans de carrière vraiment un album excellent avec en bonus un 2eme cd ou le groupe histoire de prouver que leur voix est toujours au top nous reinterprete 8 de leur tube un peu modifier bref que du bonps je les ai vu en concert a new york et croyez moi ils sont toujours aussi bon sur scene

数年前のJ-POPのカバーなんて本当に悲しかった。K-Ci&JoJoも歌わされてたけど、なんでジャンルも格も違うアーティストのカバーを歌わなければならないのか。より多くの人に聴いてもらう目的かもしれませんが、彼らの積み重ねてきた多くの実績やプライドを引き換えにしてまですべきことだったのでしょうか。聴くに堪えなかったです。もう彼らの本気には出会えないのかと思っていました…。しかしここへきて待望のオリジナルアルバム、本当に素晴らしい出来です。20周年の記念作がこんなにもひっそりと発売されているなんて知りませんでした。彼らの世界観をぶち壊されたくなければ、日本盤ボーナストラックのない輸入盤のほうが安いしオススメです。セルフカバーとの2枚組で、どっちから先に聴こうか迷いましたが、そうそうたる新旧プロデューサー陣が集結したという新曲が気になり順番通りDisc1から。1曲目Believeはかっこいい曲、あまりTeddyすぎなくて彼らなりのミディアムに仕上がってる。その他はバラード中心で2曲目So Amazing、6曲目I Shoulda Lied、9曲目One More Danceは特に頭に余韻が残るスロウ。Babyfaceの作品に久しぶりに出会えた喜び、そしてDisc2のWater Runs Dry、A Song For Mama、I’ll Make Love To You、End Of The Roadの名曲を聴くにあたり、BIIMとBabyfaceのタッグがいかに素晴らしいかを再確認させてくれます。セルフカバーのDisc2は全体を通して程よいアレンジが加わっており、Jam&LewisのOn Bended Knee、Four Seasons Of Lonelinessもめっちゃいい！これを聴いてた頃はああしてたこうしてたなんて思い出してるとあっという間に終わってしまいます。ぜひ次の20年後くらいも同じ名曲のラインナップで、彼らの年輪を刻むセルフカバーを歌っていただきたい。Nathanが導入し、Shawnが盛り上げ、Wanyaがアドリブきかせてまとめあげる、このスタイルが今作オリジナルでも健在で、これからのご活躍も期待したいです。
