Couldn’t tell you the exact width but it is very “pointed” and works well on pushing through the tiny holes at the back of cutting dies to dislodge the paper etc.

Can these be used to make a hole in candles for the wick?

These are quite sturdy, so I would have thought that they may make a hole in candles for the wick, depending on how you do it.

Is this suitable for 300gsm card as I want to make holes for stitching?

just try and see if it works, I use this tool for clearing paper from dies and havent used it for embroidery hole making.
