This was recommended so I went ahead and got it.To make it useful, you need to flash the firmware but if you search on YouTube there's a guy who goes through it so that you can do it easily using the Pi. I say "easily" but it's still a bit of a faff as you need to solder 4 wires onto a tiny connector to attach it to the GPIO pins on your Pi. Then there's a bit of messing about to actually get it to flash. I'd say if I can do it then most people should be able to.The antenna is built into the end of the board and it's not great. Moving it up from the floor to about 1m took the signal from about 1 to about 25. I've also got the bits to add an external antenna. You should think about this, or putting it on the end of a USB extension cable so that you can position it where you'll get the best reception.All in all though it does exactly what I need so I would recommend it ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ZigBee controller without proprietary hubs *by R***R on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on September 28, 2019* Works great with IKEA tradfri and Xiaomi sensors when paired up with zigbee2mqtt and home assistant.
