Really tasty but a tad expensive.
I first bought this product at my local grocery but they discontinued the product despite it being a local brand. Paladini suits my taste perfectly. My wife was upset with me for paying the price to buy this online until she tasted it, then I was forgiven. This product is smooth, sweet and tart and reminds of restaurant tartar sauce from old San Francisco. So, nostalgia may be part of its appeal for me. Only issue is cost. It's a bit pricey.

Oily good tartar oil
Tastes great. It's just mostly oil. I've shaken it and refrigerated it.

Yhe pinacle in tartar sauce
It is very different from other tartar sauces and has a great flavor that enhances the seafood.

Very thin sauce
Very thin and watery. Taste was less than I was hoping. Been trying to find a tartar sauce with some tang to it. This didnโt do it for me. For the price Iโll go back to Inglehoffer for now and keep looking.

Good flavor, but too thin for me
This tarter sauce has good flavor, but it's entirely too thin and watery for my taste. I think this would be a favorite if it were thicker, but as it stands, even when super cold, it's really runny and it just kills it for me which is a real shame since the flavor profile is actually great. It's a little spendy, but I'd say par for the course for getting an out-of-market local favorite, you're always going to pay a premium

Why is it called "Tarter" sauce?
I remember as a kid, my parents having tarter sauce in the house. We would put it on fish sticks, salmon croquets and other dishes. Then I went away to college, moved out and it was gone from my repertoire of condiments. But now it is back! I really am enjoying this Paladini Tarter Sauce. It is even better that the flavor I remember. Perfect for a variety of fish and seafood dishes. Great flavor and excellent consistency.

Glad I Tried This Brand
I picked this up as a gluten free option since good GF tartar sauce can be hard to find, and I wasn't familiar with the brand at all going in. I served it with cod and it was good, noticeably better than the standard supermarket versions I usually default to. The capers and horseradish give it a bit more complexity without either one taking over, and the overall balance feels more like something homemade than a mass-produced condiment. The portion size is reasonable for the price, and I'll be buying it again. Happy to have found a reliable gluten free option that tastes like proper tartar sauce. ASIN# B001HNZTQE
